DNA Matching Made Easy on MyHeritage 

MyHeritage has an amazing array of tools to help break down your genealogical brick walls with DNA matches. This presentation is an overview of using DNA matches to solve genealogical mysteries. It will cover a basic review of atDNA testing (what it is and how it can be used), what information is provided on a match page, how that information can be analyzed to assist paper genealogical research, and examples from Shannon’s own DNA results.
Shannon Combs-Bennett, QG, MSc, PLCGS, is an award-winning author based in Virginia, USA. She lectures internationally on various genealogical topics from basic methodology to genetic genealogy. Shannon earned a BS in Biology with an emphasis in human genetics from Indiana University and co-authored “The DNA Guide for Adoptees.” Currently, Shannon is a doctoral student at the University of Strathclyde in History with Genealogical Studies.
