DNA vs the Book of Mormon? 

No. "DNA" doesn't support either of the predominant models. Meldrums "DNA evidence" is a poor knee-jerk reaction to the false DNA argument against the Book of Mormon. But it has made him a lot of money.

Even one of the greatest genetic critics of the Book Of Mormon has basically named this argument a red herring as even if the Lehites and mulekites had come in 600 BC within a few generations any genetic markers of theirs after intermarrying with and assimilating with other native communities would have been genetically bottlenecked out or diffused as to be untraceable. Not to mention that the genetic sampling of todays native American genetic sampling represents a mere 15% of what existed here pre-Columbian contact. another problem I have with the research also is that any markers that are found are often either dismissed as to be too ancient or immediately assumed and roped into the category of having an unknown European/colonist ancestor despite many appearing to be pure blooded native Americans.

People have largely ignored the Lone Bull/Darl "Dusty" Crawford DNA results. He is a Blackfeet man who can trace his genealogy back 5 generations, but his ancestral DNA traced back an estimated 55 generations, estimated back to 17,000B.C. He has Asian and European ancestors, but his oldest genes are said to be Polynesian. I suppose they are waiting until more such results are found before they will accept it. But if DNA really did work the way they are trying to use it to "disprove" The Book Of Mormon, it would be an even bigger problem for the Bible. Because God said he would sift Israel among ALL nations. Among every nation, kindred, tongue and people. And upon ALL the isles of the sea. So if there isn't Israelite DNA anywhere and everywhere, that makes God a false prophet and the whole Bible false. So even if DNA did work the way they want, it could only prove The Book Of Mormon false by proving the Bible false.

There is no Hebrew DNA the claim that haplogroup X markers are evidence of Hebrew ancestry is false and misleading.

Why? Because a critic of the church chose to use a racial slur in an attempt to make the church look bad?
