Task and Panic when they get back to the sweet dragon: Helga, we need to forget the past two months Helga: *Cracks Knuckles* Task and Panic: WITH DRINKS! Helga: Drink not strong enough
Is anyone else concerned by the fact that a beholder, a creature that warps reality in its sleep, dreamed of both Orun being wounded and dying AND Solly being born?
It seems more like being a being close to the celestial relm the beholder is tapping into the eye remains of Orun. Especially since hea an eye based creature next to an eye of a god.
Task mentioning communication from alavast to the underdark. Imagined paper cups with several hundred meters of string. I don’t know why, but that’s where I went.
Gonna be honest with ya, Monty. That was an absolutely INCREDIBLE use of an anticlimax. The whiplash was so strong that I almost snapped my neck, in a good way, as odd as it sounds. Also, the narrator for Darkest Dungeon (I can never remember names) also made lines for BaerTaffy. "It's about tree fity."
1:06:55 I was REALLY hoping Monty would have went "AHEM .... The following is a fan-based parody. This Lore is property of Orin, Solar, Sully, and the rest of the Alivast Universe. Please support the official release"
*spoilers* *sung to the tune of The Cat Came Back* Oh, Borky Orky had great joy all his own, He had a fatass pigeon that couldn't leave its home, Then they fought a sky pirate who'd turned traitor, To save his Orc that pigeon left a huge crater! Buuuut, the pigeon came back, some time later, Oh, the pigeon came back. They thought he was a goner! But the pigeon came back, and I just can't stay a hater~
23:50 Actually Taka carrots aren't actually good for your eyes, that was a mytg the British Airforce started in WW2 to prevent the Germans from finding out about the night vision projects 02:34:10 man, the old Risf would've having a fangasm if he saw this
After rewatching the series again I came to the conclusion that if the Tubbs reveal also happened last session at least Connor would've been sent to the loony bin.
Which ironically means that he's tougher than Keyleth from Critical Role. Anyone who doesn't know what the fek that's about, look up "Critical Role Kiki vs the cliff" or alternatively "Critical Role the goldfish incident."
My friend told me that the reveal of what is in the room to be just too crazy and silly, but I then redirected him back to the pug... We both silently agreed that this is easily the norm.
Hello there! Finally, caught up with the recent episode after starting around... Mid/Late June? Anyway, I enjoyed listening/watching this series, and will be tuning in until the end! Really love the story telling and voice acting of not only in The Unexpectables, but also in the Shadow War, Merkz, and the Winter Crew sessions. Sadly, Da Krew and the S-Series didn't hooked me in like the other fantasy stuff, but I will give the S-series another try once the second episode is out. I think that's about it... Well, other than making my own dnd race inspired from the gang's trip to Tracadia, then all I can say to end this long ass comment is can't wait for the continuation of this current arc! Byez!
Well shit bought some new earbuds to listen to this vod while on my flight fron utah to california, but the awesomeness of the collective of you voices broke my earbuds as i tested them... Now i will be on a flight with no The Unexpectables.
Am I getting this right?: Bob the Beholder is a Beholder that wandered up into the Church of the Undersun around the time that the Lads were there fighting the nasties, and while there he happened to pick up and read Robinthe's journal and decided "Well apparently this is a story about me, Robinthe the Human Orun Cleric. Yep. I'm a Human Cleric of Orun, and I always have been." And then he just meandered back to the depths of the Underdark and declared himself High Priest/Guardian of the Undersun? Izzat what happened or did I miss something?
Bob has had the memories of Robert since he died (I think they said the last of the races that weren't Gnolls on Alivast died out about a thousand years ago [I am not including dragons and our death flower friend]. If I am wrong, tell me). I don't believe this beholder took the dying Robert's memories to get a personality and to protect itself, he believes he is human and his mind his making him see himself as human. He even said that he saw a vision of Sully and Jerry about twenty years ago and humans in D&D only live to about a hundred while Alivast was rediscovered about 6 years ago now
My gf and i both have that "Its Been.." soundclip from One Week as our text message ringtones, cept mine is Taka's version and hers is Barenaked Ladies version
No backstory for edgebirb for you! Its not his arc yet. And IMO he is The least intresting of The boyos. I mean he is edgebirb, edgelord of edge. And I for one have seen more than my share of that animetrope
Not gonna lie... I wasn't expecting Tubbs to return. Thank F*CK it's not Bob that is Solly's champion. That would have been bad. Azra would have probably lost her shit.
Tubs wouldn't be a Kenku. Tubs MIGHT be an Aarakocra if he becomes humanoid, but from what I can tell, cannonically, Kenku are humanoids that became birdlike due to a cure and Aarakocra are birds that became humanoid
Kenku have pretty much always been bird like humanoids, the curse just stripped them of their wings and voices, and Aarakocra are bird-like humanoids from the plane of air. As per always though, Rule 0. Kind of just depends on the DM.
He returns...... She is here....... may discord and greed fill your soul as we head to the Screaming Gate Edit: ok just seen her...... HOLY FUCK THAT IS TERRIFYING
