Oh wow I have seen some of your content by coincidence in past I think. For me this music has for quite some time been the auditory connection to my ancestors. I think some of their music does capture the mystical and long past of the lands they originate from...And you will understand that my Metal embossed brain connects those sounds to the old (maybe slightly occult) Folklore of the Antiquity. PS: Is that a Bong in your Logo? Big Ups man!
"Deniz Üstü Köpürü" is a "türkü" from my maternal homeland, Muğla. You must listen Cem Karaca version. Maybe you react another Muğla "türkü" which sung by a legendary Turkish singer, Müzeyyen Senar. And... A private info... Kağızman is the homeland of Bob Dylan's ancestors.
the instrument you have asked the name is "kemençe" in Turkish, pronounced as "quemanchea". the participants in the video are professional musicians, actors and amateurs.
0:43 This content Doğa için Çal= Play for Nature 0:56 Yes... Some of the people who appear are very famous, while others are ordinary folks with a musical talent. 9:14 The instrument you asked about... Kemençe... How should you say Kemenche... (ç = ch) Your interest in Turkish music made me proud. I am also an amateur musician. If there's anything you want to ask, don't hesitate...
That instrument is called many names. Originated in Transcaucasia and modern-day Turkey's northeasternmost region alongside the Blacksea coast. Radical nationalists, either Greek, Turkish, Georgian prefer to claim it, instead of just appreciating this cultural inheritance. I love that instrument, and bagpipe! Bagpipe is dope, as well. There are also Hemshen people in that region, they speak an East Armenian dialect with that unique Blacksea accent, they play pagpipe, you'd love it. Kemenche, lyra, ch'ilili; these are some of the names given to this instrument in the video, it's in the violin family but like distant niece.
09:40 the instrument is kemençe. watch for interesting turkish instruments DOĞA İÇİN ÇAL 6 - ÇÖKERTME ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Qc8cGLUPfhE.html

İt iş called Kemençe (kemen is violin and the suffix ending "çe " is used to define the female or smaller or the opposite. For example we say KRAL means King and KRAL_IÇE Means Queen.
As the other friends wrote the instrument name is Kemençe which is a special to people of Black Sea cost. You may enjoy this video which includes playing of Kemençe and special style of folk music belongs to Black Sea region. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4Bz2SFW_NL0.html
When I first heard it, it sounded a bit like old nordic folk songs to me. or as Celtic laments. but of course oriental instruments, euroasian and turk instruments. Turkey is a big country and like a mosaic of cultures, there are 10-15 similar but different foods, clothes, dance and music. West Crimea, Cyprus, Caucasia, Balkan, Mediterranean, East, then there is a complete mixture of Turkish noble sub-tribes. and yes we are Gagauzia Republic can understand easly Anatolian accent they are muslim but same culture
