My youngest and I were happy with the older version of TGAB math, but we LOVE the new version even more!! Never thought it would be possible, but the simplified math courses are even better.😄 Looks like y’all are enjoying it, too!
My son was getting frustrated with TT and we start Simply TG&TB math 4 a few weeks ago. We both really like it. He loves the videos and it keeps his attention well.
I’m so glad you did this video! It’s EXACTLY what I was looking for in a program! Will definitely be adding this to my curriculum. Your daughter is awesome for letting us watch her work! Thank you!
We are doing the simply good and beautiful math this year with my son and he just loves it. I think it’s amazing. And my younger daughter is enjoying it also. I’m so glad I found this company.
We are loving it! Currently using level 5 with my 5th grader and level 3 with my 2nd and 3rd graders. Being able to do level 3 together helps so much!!
This is our third year with TGTB math. We've only used the old version so far and we love it, I cannot wait to get the new versions for next year! I bought levels 1 and 3 last year while they were on sale. So we are using these this year. Love your hint about perpendicular lines making an "L" that's great! We will definitely use this, as we've had a bit of a tough time getting that one. Thank you for all you do and share. I love the encouragement you offer me and our homeschooling journey. 💖
Thanks. Going to try this out for the first time. Levels 1 and 4. Moving from a completely independent approach so I’m a bit nervous. And she’s your mini!
Thank you for this! Olivia is adorable. Tell her thank you as well. 😊 I can’t wait to share this with my daughter, who will be starting simply math 4 after summer break. ♥️
We did the old level 2 last year and it was great. Purchased the Simple level3 and it is awesome! The spiral review helps my son remember the concepts. He loves the story and themes.
Oh my goodness! I just had to stop by and tell you that I finally ordered the Built bars and I am shook! 🤣 These are seriously ridiculously amazing! I am so glad I finally tried them! Now I see why you are so excited about them! 😆 Thanks for the discount code! ❤
We did levels 2 & K last year & this year we’re on the simply beautiful 1 & 3. I feel like it’s way easier, there are less pieces to keep track of & I feel like there’s a perfect amount of lesson review & practice. The previous math, I didn’t feel like it had enough practice so I ended up supplementing with extra worksheets for more practice. . I don’t feel the need to do that with the new courses.
We have been loving Math 4 also. The videos are awesome. Also as an FYI, you don’t have to do the mini lesson if you are already watching the video. I’m pretty sure it’s offered as an either/or situation. But HEY she is getting it extra reinforced!
We are using Math 2 and 4 and are really liking it- the videos are wonderful to help my older one be more independent, and my younger child loves the game components in his box. BTW, my 9th grader is also using Shorrman Algebra... It is working well, although some of the lessons do take her two or even three days when they are heavier. I think around lesson 15 or so they were a bit more abstract and difficult, but she pushed through (with a bit of help) and is on lesson 23. I am finding it better to have her do 60 minutes a day rather than a whole lesson. I love that there is access for two years, just in case we need extra time. :)
Glad to hear your glowing review! We are switching to this curriculum next school year for math, I think. I just downloaded some simple lessons for my kids to try out, but it looks like it would be a great fit for us! I think I may get the mental math fifth grade book for my daughter, who is going to be a sixth grader, since they don’t have some thing like that for six grade. do you know if they ever have sales, or put out coupon codes?
We are switching to TGTB math as soon as it comes in the mail. Got it ordered. Feeling a little upset because my 5th grader tested into math 4 but its okay... we are coming from teaching textbooks and it makes me wonder if I made a mistake using teaching textbooks.
Ive been so torn between horizons math or simply math. I hear great things of both and know you were a hige advocate and loved horizons also, but if you were to go back and simply math was avaliable for your lids to start from the beginning would which would you have chosen? Comparing your olddests who Dod orizons to olivia with simply which would you say is more solid?
Clarification for any confusion I caused: The cards and scratch pad are additional things that can be purchased. They are not included with the cost of the course set. I should have better clarified, so sorry!
The Mental Math is included in the course set. 😉 Thank you for sharing with us about the additional resources that can be purchased separately. We are doing Math 4 & 5 this year and love it. This curriculum is helping my children memorize their math facts. ❤️
Im nervous to change lol. I love the old. I ordered next years in the old version too but I'll be ready by 5th. I love this video btw bc it's real REAL life....dogs n all. Stay strong. ❤
Thank you for this video! I was toying with getting math 4 for my son next year. I’m definitely going to now. We are using Saxon math now which I’m liking but I know he’ll enjoy the color aspect of TGATB math and lessons!
Thank you for your video! I have a question... do you have your kids also learn the other three operations {Addition, Subtraction and Division} by rote memory?? If yes, what was your best strategy? Flash Cards, worksheets? Thank you!!
My son is level 4 as well and I love it!! Did the multiplication cards come with the curriculum or was it an add on? Mine did not come with those and those would be handy!
We are loving our Simply Good and Beautiful K and Math 4. We did not get the multiplication cards and scratch pad with ours however....are these things you think we need to contact the company about? We have our own flash cards and I have him using a white board since we don't have the scratch pad.
Good Afternoon Ashley, I have a question about TGATB Language arts. Our program this year is moving really fast through concepts and not reviewing. My daughter is having a hard time remembering and keeping up. Does TGATB move quickly or build and review? Just wondering from a mom who has diligently been using it for years. Thank you.
Hey, struggling mom here! I am wanting to switch from Singapore US Standards Edition to The Good and Beautiful. Are the levels true to grade? The math we're switching from is issued in levels that do not correlate with grade. Is Math 4 for 4th grade? What you daughter is reviewing my son is not yet covered but is entering 4th grade...
Thank You! 🙂 for the video. That was super helpful! One question: does she have her own phone, or does she borrow someone else’s? What age does your family believe in giving the children a phone? Do you use any protection software? We are approaching that time with ours and gathering information from others that are successful. Thank You! 🙂
