i love how all of the fisherman i watch can catch my personal best and say “it’s not a big one” while im amazed at the size! love your videos and your vibe!
Haha it took me a very long time to realize that all I needed to do was throw big baits, those big fish love eating big lures, as soon as I started throwing crazy stuff I started catching more studs!
@NASPELTZ I usually make the decision when I go out whether I want to catch size or catch numbers. Obviously this dictates the baits I will throw. Some of this also depends on the body of water I'm fishing.
Wow! Lost at your fingertips! I had to laugh at your reaction. Mine was the same 😂 Great show ! Rivers are my favorite. Snake River country here. Love the sound and the movement. Giant cottonwoods giving shade from the summer sun and shelter from the rain...
Fishing ponds and lakes gotta be the best to do, ponds because it’s almost always just you alone fishing and enjoying your time out there, and lakes because it’s fun to go out further into the water sometimes, especially being here in Minnesota so many different bodies of water to fish, absolutely love your vibes and videos, always fun to watch🙏🏾
My favorite body of water to fish, are the ones where motors, even electric, are prohibited. This is for several reasons. 1) less noise. 2) less trash left around. 3) bigger fish which leads to 4) most kayak and canoe fishermen practice catch and release, thus ensuring continued exclellence in the quality of fish. Another great vid. Tight lines.
I think my favorite type of water to fish is the midsized low traffic MN lakes with lots of topography, pads, reeds, cabbage and moderate clarity. Love it. Great video!
I love fishing urban park ponds.... Specifically the ones with a concrete brick shoreline!!! I love the accessibility and the way that u always meet people, it's just an awesome way to fish
Hey Nathan, I love your chill and calm film, narration and presentation style. I really like how respectful you are to the fish. Keep up the great videos and your channel will take off! But most importantly keep fishing! 👍
Hey thanks so much, I’m glad you enjoy the content. It’s always important to take proper care of fish, I always hate seeing dead fish floating in my local bodies of water, hoping the people who watch my videos will see how I take care of them and learn to treat every fish with respect and care! Thanks for taking the time to comment :)
@@NASPELTZ Thank you for the great videos and replying! You should have your own TV show! I agree it not good seeing any type dead fish or fauna. You make the best content for me to watch when I'm chilling.
depends on the pond for sure, most of the ponds around me are always packed with people, every once in a while I stumble across a pond like this that no one knows and I can be alone with nature, thanks for watching
Up here in Ontario, our storm water management ponds are nice, but my favorite are our reservoirs. They definitely have the most surprises!! For example, in Dorchester Ont. I fished that for years in highschool, killer for BIG largies, now you can catch pike and crappies in their!!!! Incredible!!!!!
Hey thanks so much man, I’m glad you enjoyed. Small lakes are a blast and it’s nice to find a hidden gem that most people don’t know about. Thanks for taking the time To comment :)
I like fishing spillways, it's always where the big fish lie and i love the ambience of the rushing water....all in all gotta love a good spillway monster
These recent videos with the epic spots have been awesome. But there is just something about pond fishing. Definitely my favorite bodies of water to fish
Interesting lure. Moves great action. I love central and north Minnesota lakes. I especially like the mid-sized ones. So if it's too windy there i s usually a bay or shore you can hide in. I like seeing people at there cabins but the undeveloped shorelines are magic.
I encourage everyone to get out and try fishing, it's a fun activity the whole family can enjoy....that said, some of my favorite spots are out of the way places like this where I can enjoy the solitude and quiet. 😌
Fishing is just about as peaceful as it gets, it’s nice to be out in nature and relax, this pond I was at was perfect for that, super quiet other than the “mooooo” I heard every few minutes lol
I always knew a bass would eat a baby gator but I never have seen a gator lure. Y’all are so blessed to have such beautiful places to fish and the size of the bass yall have is incredible especially for a place that gets so cold in winter. Awesome job! And thank you for sharing!
Thanks so much for watching, it’s hard to find ponds like this that hold this quality of fish, where are you from that you don’t have bass this big? I feel like the rest of the country has way bigger bass
We really enjoy Lake fishing, primarily because we fish from kayaks and then when we find where the bite is on we can stay in the area. We also enjoy your videos, and find that you have inspired us to try new fishing techniques.
There you go again, catching beautiful fish on outrageously giant lures. Good looking ponds. I prefer to fish smaller sized lakes since I'm in a kayak. Up here in Maine, I pretty much have them to myself. Getting spoiled.
Thanks for watching this weeks video! I always try to keep it interesting and fish something unique, one of these years I’m gonna have to head up there and fish Maine, I’ve been wanting to for so long
Another great video, I’m gonna have to say ponds, it’s where I fish the most, I really wanted to see that last fish in the video in the boat as I’m sure you did too, Great job Nathen
When we go fishing as a family (family of 6), our favorite place to go is nearby. It’s a lake made by a dam. It’s large enough to go boating or tubing if you want, but there are a lot of coves that you can venture down. When you are in one of those coves, you won’t hardly see a single other boat there. Then, it’s like you have the whole lake to yourself.
Your videos are great and the editing is super good! Like you cap cam. I can not get used to one of those so I stay with my chesty. Like your verses you put in your videos. You have a knack of finding and fishing great areas. My fav areas are small under fished overlooked lakes even though I am 15min from the Mississippi.
Ponds and rivers are my favorite places to fish, always something surprising lurking in there. As always thank you for the awesome video my dude, you’re the Bob Ross of fishing 🫡
Sorry I watched this so late lol… I was on a camping trip/fishing trip. My fav body of water to fish would have to be a calm early morning lake… it’s very peaceful
100%, the river is always a hit or miss, but when it hits, it HIT’S, heading out to the sippi in a few hours to chase some big smallies, hoping they want to bite after all this rain
@NASPELTZ fished the sippi the other day. Found a bunch of small smallies most likely from this last spawn, seemed like the bigger ones were pushed out a little deeper. But I was also fishing from a side that gets a lot of pressure
Hey I’ve been trying to reach out to you to let you know you won this giveaway, I announced it a few videos ago but I think you didn’t see that part of the video. Thats alright. How can I reach out to you
Man that alligator lure looks amazing. Maybe I’ll tie on a live alligator next time I go fishing. 😂🤣😂🤣 we have plenty of them here in Florida. Thank you so very much Nathan for the awesome video. I love creek fishing and wade fishing the river behind my house, I have caught some monsters doing that. I’m waiting on the river to go back down now, it’s way up now due to all of the rain. Much love and prayers brother. Keep your lines tight!!!
Man I would love to see a bass eat a live gator 😂 I bet there is a bunch of small ones down by you, creek fishing is my favorite way to fish by far, small streams and creeks are always so peaceful, I grew up trout fishing small creeks and have always had a special place in my heart for tiny clear creeks. We have been getting pounded by rain as well, hopefully it all calms down here soon, thanks for watching this weeks episode Keith!
Funny story me and my brother were fishing at a spot that had tiny fish and bass because im a pretty new angler and i had a tangle in my reel so i started taking line out but i still had a worm on and while i was taking my line out my hook fell in the water so while i was reeling in a scolpin came out from under the rocks and bit my hook and thats how i caught my first fish
My favorite body of water has to be a river. Various species and if one certain species I'm targeting is not biting it's very easy to switch up and try for another. But I also feel fishing is like life . When we are young we start with pond fishing for panfish. As we get older we tend to target bigger and more elusive fish. But , for the most part, when we reach a certain age we revert back to pond fishing and have a greater appreciation for what types of fishing we have accomplished in life
100% agree, couldn’t have said it better myself, I fish the Mississippi River a lot cause i can make one cast and the possibilities are endless, could be a small smallmouth bass, a flathead catfish, or even a sturgeon, you never know. Can’t go wrong with pond fishing, just watching a bobber go down while bluegill fishing is relaxing! Thanks for watching
Personally I love small lakes with motor restrictions the water is always so clear there’s less pressure and being a big kayak fisherman myself it’s perfect
My favorite body of water is a pond. It's right next to a warehouse, and it's Private Property! 😄 It's big and beautiful. The edges are filled with Pondweed in the Summer plus Cattails on the perimeter of majority of the pond. There's two bowls and a narrow channel that connects them. It's my favorite spot hands down. It's holds big Largemouth Bass and Green Sunfish. I caught my PB Green Sunfish there on a Wacky Rig the very first time I fished there. It came in at 14 oz. I was amazed, I took it home to eat. I also caught 2 PBs there for Bass, first was a 5-7 then 5 months later I caught a 5-12 both were on a Mike Bucca Baby Bull Gill swimbait. 🔥 26:42
You are the best to watch every video brings me closer to his with bible verse I get asmr and I just love watching thank you. Also I like lakes to catch large mouth
I live in Colorado springs and I love fishing rivers and streams we have here for me personally it's easier to catch fish in them and they fight a lot harder in them! and that last fish in the heartbreaker bro sorry you lost it 😢
Thanks Felix, also you won my giveaway from last video. How can I reach out to you? I was trying last night to find you email or anything. If you put it in a reply to this comment just say the part before the @ “Gmail” part just the words and letters and if it’s Gmail or the other ones, if you put it all together RU-vid will delete it for spam
that first fish is a dead fish. never been able to save one that swallows that many hooks. good afternoon of bassin. are you fishin that alligator too fast?
The first fish swam off completely safe, it’s a single hook lure that is a line through, I was able to get the hook out, cut the line, and pull the swimbait out!
I’m taking it to the sippi tonight to try fishing it there, hoping to crank one on the lure I’m not giving away, hope you win man I’d love to see some big smallies on it
I always carry all my musky stuff with me just in case, this swimbait is a line thru, I used a musky pliers to slowly grab the hook, I pulled it through the gill very carefully, cut the line and then slowly pulled the swimbait out of the mouth with no hook attached, that was actually the hardest part, the harder I pulled the more the fish kept trying to pull harder down its through and eat it 😂
What part of Minnesota do you live in because the fish and that where you live in Minnesota much bigger than the fish where I live in Minnesota at least I think you live in Minnesota cause that’s where most of your videos are. I love fishing rivers, they’re amazing. I caught my personal best small mouth on gull river. It was 4 pounds and it was my second smallmouth ever
I live in south east Minnesota in Rochester, but I fish all over the Midwest, most of my content is filmed on the Mississippi River on pools 3 and 4 but I also have lots of musky and smallies content across wisco
I don’t fish that area otherwise I’d give you some spots, I’d say go on google maps and just start fishing every body of water around you, that’s how I find the hidden gems. Thanks for watching!!!
