snow snoot, (the face Cairns get when out in the snow) and snow turds ( the ice balls formed on the fur on there legs when out in the snow ) both clear evidence Cairns love the snow
I’ve only just found your channel and subscribed I love cairns. our little beautiful cairn died November 2022 we are absolutely heartbroken she looked just like sprout 😢 Love your puppy’s with all your heart Maybe we will get one next year but the price of dogs here in the Uk is scandalous Up to £2000 plus 👍

They have no problem sticking their heads into snow, small holes etc. There could be a mouse or rat in there that needs dispatched. Every once un a while my Cairn brings a mouse back.
I would say the answer is a resounding yes! Haha! Though I think my Lola is a bit of a princess. I’m not sure she would love the snow. I plan to take her to Michigan with me in the snowy season at some point. 😜 Love to see you both being silly and cute in the snow! -SnootDoodler
Our family has always had fur babies, and I have long wanted a Cairn. They’re just the most irresistible babies ever. Our vet was very negative about the idea because of hand stripping, saying the cost has not only surged but fewer grooming establishments will even to it as it’s so time consuming. Is this an issue for either of you? Evidently it would ruin their coat if they were just groomed and not hand stripped?
I dunno, to be honest. I mean I'm in the UK, but not priced that up yet. Have you looked up on RU-vid how to do it yourself; it can't be rocket science, can it? Don't let it put you off getting THE best dog ever!
@Anne Murphy yes cairns do need to be hand stripped to maintain their wirey coat. We take ours back to the breeder (we’re lucky she is very close by) for grooming every few months. I’m not sure what a shop would charge but @chrislox1 is absolutely correct and lots of owners do it themselves!
@@chrislox1 Thank you, I have watched several YT videos on hand stripping since our vet was warning what a problem I’d have getting it done - it does intimidate me a little because I’d never want to accidentally hurt them (that looks like a real possibility tugging that all that hair out). They are indeed the most adorable little fur babies and my daughter and I are madly in love with the breed. We watch all the Cairn videos we can find on YT. Thank you and God bless.
