DD you should vlog more often! It is very entertaining to watch. The stuff that comes out sometimes is comedy gold. "You're so old,you shouldn't be driving....!". Cracked me up! 😂😂😂
I crashed an old R6 on a roundabout at about 50-60mph. It had sliders on, and they did an awesome job. Fairing was barely touched.....unfortunatly they did catch a curb on the way resulting in the bolt snapping the frame mount clean off and a chunk of the motor. Instant write off. I do have them on the Speed though.
For me, the answer is... sometimes. For low speed crashes in carparks or you leave your disclock on - definitely. Regular riding speed town crashes... most of the time. Faster speeds or on track its luck of the draw. Out of my crashes on track with the R6, they were more useful than not on most occasions. On one occasion, they flipped the bike but all the others they were very beneficial. Most crashes are doing to be dumbarse little mistakes, I'd rather fit them than not.
I have the full set on my Sprint 1050, bar ends, axles, sides. Some c**t nicked one of my bar ends last year while it was parked in bike area of a multi-storey car park. I reckon if you crash at 100+mph unless on a track it is going to be terminal for both you and your bike. There is so much road furniture to hit as well as other vehicles. Maybe you take some one or two with you.
Nice one D......I keep saying gotta get some bungs for the bike then I forget but maybe I'm tempting fate after watching this think I should order them now......ride safe...
Check out T-rex sliders. They make a handsome set of sliders for the Speedie! They also have a black/red Single Swingarm Slider that would look bitchin' on your Speedie! 🤙
I've dropped my FZ1 twice although tbh at very low speeds the rear spool (when dropped on the non exhaust side), bar ends and the engine bars took the most impact, the fork protectors never touched the ground. I'm pretty sure most of the stuff paid for it self already
Have them all on mine, cheap engine ones but r&g front and rear wheels. I think there's a good chance they would dig in but my thinking always been of I come off fast enough to flip the bike it doesn't matter as it's going to be fucked up anyway.
Dubble D hi Man thank you for your sharing ! Shit it’s forbidden in France to have it on the Road ! I choosed the MIVV Suono which have homologuation on the road 😇
Dubble D it's wierd how I can't find any on mine on the rgb website... Mine is a 2017 model too. Are you able to let me know arrow exhuast you have on your bike please.
Thanks buddy. I actually send you that question from my friends youtube account as he has no clue about bikes. My name is Romano Sparks and I appreciate you actually taking the time to reply back. I have a 2014 street triple and will be on vacation from Sunday. So I actually love what you did to your bike so wanna do something exactly like that to mine. And I am subscribed to your youtube channel and I follow you on instagram. Great pics and videos buddy!
I think crash protecters help a lot for low speed drops.. you crash at a speed fast enough for them to flip the bike.. bike damage is gonna the least of your problems... don’t really see a downside Also are you gonna test ride the Speed RS 2018? Would really like your opinion on the 2016 vs 2018..
Edwin Vazquez I don’t get the point of your comment? I’d assume you’re going along the lines of “you’re judging other riders, but you’ve come off twice yourself”. With that you’ve taken what I’ve said in the video completely out of context. Also just because I’ve come off twice doesn’t mean I have no idea what I’m doing, especially as you don’t even know how I’ve come off (I’m sure you could go and watch the videos to find out now I’ve mentioned it) I’d go as far as to say you probably don’t have much experience or even a bike or you wouldn’t of left such a comment...
