Animals need sleep to rest and reset their mind and body. We humans, close our eyes and lie down to rest our muscles. So do most animals. But what about fish? They don’t have eyelids. So how do they close their eyes? How do they sleep without eyelids? Well, actually, they don't need them at all. Fish sleep with their eyes open. They swim all the way down to the bottom of the water to rest. But, figuring out how to get a good night's sleep underwater while swimming and escaping predators would require some creativity.
