Yeah, Floor knows them. The Netherlands is a small country, so basically all the metal bands know each other. Sharon even sang a duet with Floor with Floor's first band After Forever. It's called Beyond Me. There's only one fanmade video of the recorded song with the growls cut out. Imo, they didn't fit the song anyway. But the song itself is gorgeous and the harmonies breathtaking. Another beautiful duet is Within Temptation ft. Anneke van Giersbergen. The song is called Somewhere. And yes, Floor knows her too, Anneke was even Floor's inspiration when she first realiz she wanted to become a metal singer. So, for a third and final recommendation, Valley of the Queens by Ayreon. With Floor, Anneke and Marcela Bovia. Three stunning voices in a beautiful, delicate song. If you're wondering, Anneke is pronounced An-nuh-kuh. With the same flow if you would say Anything.

They are a Dutch symphonic metal band that started the same time as Nightwish 1996. They are considered one of the pioneers of female fronted symphonic metal bands. The lead vocalist is Sharon den Adel who founded the band together with her partner Robert Westerholt. She applied, and was admitted, to the conservatory for opera training but did not like it so she changed over to the arts-academy within her first semester. So apart from that short stay she is complete self-tough. There she studied clothing design and management and completed it successfully. She has mainly used these skills in designing outfits used on stage. They have had a rather successful run in clubs for couple of years where their performances were constantly sold out. Because of that they got invited to the biggest festival in the Netherlands "Pink Pop". Even though they had a very early start the concert was a huge success. They released their single "Ice Queen"shortly after expecting it to be very successful but it did not do much until somewhere in December that year a dj played it on the radio. Suddenly the song shot up in the charts and even took the number 1 spot. Now other countries started to pay attention. To me Sharon is my all time favorite vocalist. That beings said i will agree to anybody that technically nobody is able to beat Floor but there is just specific tone in Sharon's that connects to me. On top of that both vocalists come a cross like normal and decent people. I would not feel uncomfortable talking to either of them. I have seen Floor perform live 3 times, 2 times with Nightwish and one solo show,. and not a single note out of tune. Sharon i have seen live 4 times and she is awesome. On the comeback side, yea the drummer slays. It took more than a few of my own 'listenings' to hone down the percussion. After all, we have SHARON and some pretty decent rap from Xzibit to occupy the mind.

Aryeon valley of the Queens, floor and some other singers you need to be aware of. Also yes Floor is aware and (is/was) involved with many other excellent singers and groups. The euro metal scene seems to be the most professional aware and consistently striving evolving and up to date group of musicians I know of.

Within Temptation is a great band. And Sharon is a goddess as well. The Purge is a good song to check out. Angels is another song that really showcases Sharon’s amazing voice. But you can’t really go wrong with any song from them.

Sharon den Adel is a SIREN and this only barely touches on her skill and range. Their recent tracks are more commercial rock and you might like Faster and The Purge and Entertain You, but their roots are in symphonic metal like Nightwish (both groups actually formed the same year). To really hear Sharon’s incredible voice, check out tracks like Truth Beneath the Rose or The Promise. The live performances from their Black Symphony concert where they had a full orchestra and choir are epic and she slayed it all while recovering from the flu. She does know Floor, and Tarja too! Tarja was featured on Within Temptation’s song Paradise, and Sharon was featured on a song from Floor’s previous band After Forever.

Nightwish just released Friday. Phantom of the Opera ft Henk Poort. The last time they played it live was 17 years ago.

A beautiful collaboration between two genres, that work together so well. If you like the drummer, you need to check out Within Temptation song called Dangerous. For a collaboration between Within Temptation and the opera singer Tarja Turnensen you recommend to also check out their song Paradise. Personal favourite some by Within Temptation is Summertime Sadness which was originally by Lana Del Rey. Truly superb. You won't regret it. It will make a profound impact on your musical taste. If you have heard of Howard Jones formerly with Killswitch Engaged. He has a song with WT called "Dangerous" SION - The Blade is a colab track with Jared Dines on guitar and Howard on vocals that is really really good.

The more I listen to this band the more I like them. Have several of their songs on my playlist. I would also suggest Epica.

A suggestion from below would be my first encounter with WT: The (video clip) version of FASTER. I discovered it while looking for FanVids of Smallville, but the official vid definitely works too. Other than that, there are just too many on my wish list for you react, but in my research after I've found there are not very many 'throwaways' when they produce an album...or whatever they call digital downloads these days. I would say yes to your question. Tarjia from Nightwish did a song with them paradise. And I thought floor Jansen did one also. But I maybe wrong. Marco did a few with Delain. The original bassist for Nightwish formed Delain with Marco. I came across that info once bit I haven't seen it lately
