I've been singing and playing multiple instruments my entire life( I'm 52, now) and my sense of timing is impeccable- YES, guitarists have bad timing!!!😂😂😂❤ It drives me batcrap nuts when I'm playing rhythm and the lead man is all over the place!😂😂😂❤
Played guitar for a few years before i started bass. Noticed in bands a lot of intermediate lead + rhythm guitar and also key-players are not used to practicing with metronome. Their timing drifts easily. My guitar-teacher never taught me to play with metronome. My bass guitar teacher did, in like lesson 3. Haha. I think it's too blame on the teachers haha🙂
I cannot play with a metronome. Been playing for over 40 years, played with bands, played along with records, can feel the time, but when I try using that damn thing it's like someone's swinging a pendulum in front of my face. I lose all concentration.
