Definitely like what you said about acknowledging the negatives. At least at my hs, I’ve always felt that everyone’s (everyone meaning like top students) been so focused on prestige, rather than thinking about what life will be like at college. Like, my sister goes to Duke (about to graduate) , and though she likes it, it has been stressful and it cost a hecka lotta money

Oh yes I know the deadline is coming up! I’m going to try to film a Q&A for next week to answer questions and I’ll try to answer this in that! I can more in depth on it after decisions are made! Also I plan to diversify my channel after then too :)

I've really enjoyed your videos thus far! However, it would be suppeerr nice if you made a video on your experience at Berkeley specifically in CNR because I'll be attending this upcoming school year as a freshman. Also, because you are the only youtuber that I've found that is in CNR. :)

Hi Megan, this video was definitely worth to watch. I am a student at COM planning to transfer to UC Berkeley next year. I have heard many many negative things about the school, especially in regards to professors and the lifestyle of students in general. @@matthewcrome5835 Hi Mathew, that is CRAZY!! Go Mariners! 😂 Well if you still have thoughts about Berkeley I can answer any questions that you may have in regards to the application and class to take etc! Also, I got into UCB and have only 2 semesters to graduate! So, you have a big chance of getting in!

@@odaicletpiccinini2934 Congrats on getting in! What kind of GPA are they usually looking for? Also, what should you do if your major is capped and you might not necessarily get into it? Do you need a "backup" major? How easy is it to minor/double major as a transfer? Finally, what are their disabled student services like? Sorry for all of the questions lol

It’s pretty bad! 50 minutes to an hour or more commute with terrible traffic. Not to mention parking 😓

definitely helped seeing this! I'm a community college transfer, I am still waiting to hear back from Cal, but I am having a really hard time deciding. I am a Communications major or would be either Media Studies or Rhetoric at Berkeley. You've probably said this before but what is your major? and how much did it factor into your decision? Thank you Megan!

I’m a Conservation and resource major. Basically an environmental studies/science major. But it was essential to my decision. Berkeley has the top environmental science program in the world. So that definitely propelled me towards Berkeley

Hello Katie i’m a community college student who got accepted into Berkeley. I was wondering what school did you end up choosing? I’m really on the fence about Berkeley because I don't want the grade deflation to destroy my chances at attending grad school. If you attended Berkeley do you recommend it?

@@cetaceans4progress375 first of all congrats!! I did end up going to Berkeley. I graduated last year. My advice is to look at the classes and program your major is and compare by that. While I love Berkeley, I’m not sure if I knew what I knew now I’d choose it again because the Media Studies program was not what I expected. Grade deflation was difficult but not impossible. I would choose based on programs of study over name recognition overall! :) hope that helps

Idk if I should transfer to UCLA or Berkeley. I’m from the bay so it’ll be an easier transition to go to Berkeley but LA Seems pretty dope.. what do y’all think about pros and cons

Hey, love your videos. I was just accepted to Berkeley as a transfer student and I'm planning on commuting to campus, but I'm wondering how hard is it to find a parking space on campus?

Campus it’s hard and expensive. $400 per semester and you have to get there around 8am to find a spot. Hope this helps

I'm considering going to Cal, and am torn between Cal and UVA as undecided (L&S)... UVA offers in-state tuition for me and Cal does not, and I was wondering if you think that although there is a (big) difference in price, it might be worth choosing Cal over UVA. I worry that the workload and rigor of the courses might negatively affect my whole college experience... I'm looking for a school I can make memories in, have fun in and also be academically challenged... from what I'm reading Cal only offers one of those three things for some people. Is there any guidance you can offer to me?

UVA is an awesome school. Either way you’ll be good academically. Out of state tuition is ridiculous here so I think that might be a main deterrent. It’s not like you’d never have fun or make memories here. I have for sure. But I also grew up in the Bay Area, so I can leave any time I want to go back home. Look at the programs, tour UVA, see which one feels right to you. Go with your gut!

Hey Megan! How's the vibe as CNR? I got accepted as a transfer for Nutritional Science and I want to get a better feel of the campus. How hard is it to maintain a solid gpa, like 3.7 or higher? I'm from socal so I have no idea what the norcal vibe is about lol Thanks!

Dennis Vu as a fellow Berkeley student, it’s difficult to maintain an A average, given many classes averages are on the B range. But that all depends major as well

Hey Dennis! I’m going to make a video on my CNR experience but it may be posted after your SIR is due. What I would say is that CNR is a bit different from the rest of Berkeley but it’s still difficult. I have a 4.0 but I’m working really hard to keep it and I don’t party at all or do many social outings. I love Northern California but then again I grew up here :) maybe it could be cool to gain a new perspective for you? Hope this helps!
