Australia is an Island if you bring anything in it can cause havoc to our country. Please get the right information before asking why all the restrictions, Australia has one of the strictest border controls in the country for the protection of the people. Every bit of food stuff unless quarantined may bring a bacteria that will spread like wildfire. It is not a bad thing to have these strict customs controls. But when you don't know you don 't know.

The Customs rules are so strict because we don't have a lot invasive insects & diseases that other Countries have, and we like to keep it that way. There are plenty of different markets and online stores you can find these products usually.

The cost of airfare to Nigeria from Australia is more than most people's one year salary and it can wipe out your savings if you decide to visit your folks back home. Australia is way too far from home for anybody who intends to keep in touch with family.

Thank you for the amazing video. Lemme start by saying no country is the best, it all depends on a lot of factors. However, Canada is not better than Australia....don't make that mistake because Australian weather is better than that of Canada, and secondly, remuneration in Australia is better too than that of Canada for the same type of work. Canada is a very good country but it has been overhyped in Nigeria while Australia is underrated bcos Nigerians no dey go there. For example, I have a friend who was working in Australia and got PR in Canada, he then left for Canada thinking it was better unfortunately on getting to Canada he realized the pay was way smaller than what he was collecting in Australia.....He had to leave Canada and return to Australia. I know u love Canada, try it and see....all the best

Every where you go in this world has its pros and cons. It is for you to decide whether the pros outweighs the cons and justifies the decision you have taken on the long run. Despite what people say, it's far easier in Nigeria if you are hardworking to own a beautiful home and settle down in life than about anywhere else in the world despite the rough operating environment especially for a Medical Doctor and Consultants who earn close to one million naira a month right now.

Most of the things you mentioned regarding work are obtainable in multinational coys in Nigeria. The organisation I work for provides all that plus overseas trips(training and vacay)BUT the part about insecurity is the main issue in Nigeria.

You can't bring in certain food and other things like wood because they can harbor pests and diseases that we don't have due to our isolation, so they are very strict. For example we don't have rabies here.

@@ujunkem2526 possibly, aside the prohibited items, I've tried shipping food stuff few times and nothing got seized including dry fish,ogbnno, egusi,Cray fish etc. But you can't ship any brown beans. You can check up those things that are not allowed

I think work is better because it takes you straight to permanent resident application but those on student visa still need to attain Australian work experience to meet up with point based System in PR. Student route is okay as well, it offers you Advanced system of learning which is literally the Australian education. Both are okay to me but work visa takes less time than student visa to transition into PR.
