Thanks for more Steely Dan...not the easiest but the best! As a beginner I find your instruction the clearest to understand, especially liked the Bowie `Changes` and Supertramp `logical Song`. I only wish this kind of instruction was up when I was younger, RU-vid is so good for music lovers. ....thanks Mike R.
I really enjoy your videos: the tutorials are sound, plus you don't take yourself too seriously and emphasize having fun! Keep up the great work: I learn a lot watching you.
Awesome MIke. Just saw Steely Dan this week for the first time and they blew my mind. I'm a shit piano player - just starting - but I think I can just about do this. Thanks heaps for the tutorial. You're a legend.
@MikesMusic123 Hey Mike, just wanted to say a BIG thank you for your video tutorials. We all appreciate you taking time to share that wisdom with us all :) You are one of the best teachers I have seen on youtube so far. You just break things down so well and explain it in a very straight forward manner, which maintains that enthusiasm to learn the songs. Thanks again!
Mike, You have really motivated me to stick at learning keyboards. I started on your Spertramp ones because I think their music is unique and your approach made learning both appealing and doable. Now this! I would never have thought I could handle a Steely Dan/Fagan piece on keyboard. A tip for getting the bass line: keep the left thumb on or over the upper G. The other fingers then seem to fall more accurately on the other bass notes. I can't thank you enough! Chris
Thanks Mike. Great song. Very deep lyrically, with a great grove. If you were to interpert the RH chords Mike, wud you say that it's a: Gm7 / G / G7sus ? Modal? I always like where things come from. Thank you in advance. g
