It doesn't even need to be related to Dunning Kruger effect. This is just pure stupidity, first and foremost. He's going to have similarly incompetent takes on nearly any subject
This podcast makes me think EVERY comedian should get cancelled to unlock the funny. Hearing Chris doin a Japanese accent was so funny 😂and most dudes are scared to do it
LOL how do YOU know his life fell apart? Do you know his bank account balance or his personal life? Just because he wasn't an NBA superstar with a star studded NBA career doesnt mean his life fell apart... just to make it to the NBA you have to be the top 0.01% of bball players in the world, nevermind being a superstar. He's literally wearing a WATCH ON HIS ANKLE and BOTH wrists in that video,, he was STRAIGHT TROLLING.. yet you out here judging his life. TALK ABOUT using 10% of your own brain. SMFH
it's just a known thing if you look into it. You're one of those guys, eh? How do we know ANYTHING? you gotta draw the line somewhere dude. And no not just because of those things. Fucking... Look into it cheese brain. You made so many baseless assumptions.
My husband hasn't listened to pod- he happens to walk through room as you're saying "be vigilant" and how your wife asks where phone is way more than you. 😂😂😂he's like 'this guy is right' Yup- phone & purse- this is our couples story too
Do you know mayo and onion sandwiches are not a thing in the UK? he just made it up for comedy. Cheese and onions sandwiches are a thing here. But you Americans believe anything you hear
The stolen bag thing is a con. Bored rich housewives get together and text their husbands that their bag got stolen. The bet is that if the husband asked if the wife is ok, the asker wins the bag from her friend. If the husband doesn’t ask, the girlfriend gets the bag. You got got 😂
The 10% of our brains thing was debunked such a long time ago. I remember believing that when I was 8 years old. Lmao yikes. Thanks for the episode Chris.
As a big huge nerd, it always bugs me when Chris talks about how addicted he is to Royal Match. There’s so many incredible well made video games for mobile he could be playing, but gets sucked into the casino game 💀
the 10% thing is mainly used as an example as to why people can't REALLY multitask. We can only focus on so much at one time, disregarding subliminal thoughts and uncontrollable interruptions. Just made that up. What cha think?
That's pretty much it though. It alludes to the fact that conscious thoughts only account for a small percent of our brains output. The vast majority of the work is done under the hood, or subconsciously. But there's no way to quantify that maybe the 10% is just like an estimate. Our brain has much more potential to unlock. You see this in idiot savants, or people who hit their heads and wake up and are suddenly incredible mathematicians or can create complex music.
The “we only use 10% of our brain” isn’t true lol. The executive part of your brain (thinking out loud part) is around 13%. The other 87% is your subconscious which is extremely important and is constantly used. Plus physical functions etc
@chrisdelia this episode is funny af , the “adam wrote 10 percent to surpass the other 90” had me waab. Its crazy cus u tell jokes, but you are all the time just spot on with your of everything. U get it
Wild. It's late Fri night. I got a cheeseburger and fries, turned this episode on. He says "and he eats the fries, too," as I just finished the burger and am eating fries. Next to me is ice cream. It's like I predict the fewch. S'Nostradamus
Thank you for another hilarious hour of my week. I always remember why I watch/listen to this podcast. Congratulations for Life! I wish everyone could relate to this $hït like I do. Dementia is a vacation I can't wait for too. Love u buddy 😂
My ex was pretty dumb too. She thought the 10 percent of our brain "fact", meant that we only use a 10 percent physical portion of our brain and 90 percent of the brain is dormant brain matter lol. Teuthfully this isn't even a fact. It's a myth. It eludes to the fact that much of our brain poyential is limited by our subconscious mostly for survival reasons and probably to temper our evolution in orser to maintain balance in nature. But there is no way to quantify how much potential we've unlocked. Physically we use 100 percent of our brain.
You use 100 percent of your brain. There’s very specific descriptions of what each part does. Yes there are parts of our mind that we don’t understand, hence neuroscience, but of course we use our whole brain.
