I heard somewhere that Ogryns are larger and stronger than the average marine too. I can only imagine if Astartes geneseed worked on them, instead of that Primaris crap Guilliman and Cael should just have created a fuckton of Ogryn Marines overlooked by some standard marines to wrangle them up. I mean, they're literally too stupid to fall to Chaos, may as well see how it works out. You can make a new extra-extra heavy bolter for them to use too, something that fires rounds intended for flak batteries.

@@redeye4516 It's noted in the Imperialis Militia codex for 30K that some scholars believe Ogryns were a gengineered subspecies, probably made some time during the Dark Age of Technology. It makes a lot of sense to me: Ogryns are strong, tough, resistant to extreme environmental conditions, barely feel pain, aren't intelligent enough to question orders, and (unlike Space Marines) breed true. It's like some enterprising geneticist was going out of his way to develop the ideal helot shock-trooper.

Depends on the lore perspective, for the general audience and those who play like the total war games only would just see the comedy gold, but yeah thanks to age of sigmar bringing back a refresh of the gorgers I think need to understand the ogres of fantasy and AOS are nightmare on legs. They’re tyranids with personality on smaller scales. I think what got me learning more into the ogres was from Total war warhammer 3 with the trailer featuring they’re shanty, listening to those lyrics just sounds of a bedtime spook.

@@staffy.-. fair enough, just saying that AOS ogres themselves are just a mix of the comedy and the nightmarish vibes. Like the average ogre is just me hungy, but with the release of the Gorgers it did bring back that idea that well without enough food they are just all a time bomb of mindless monsters that do anything to eat.

You could actually probably just convince them to return to the Emperor's light, it's said that many chaos Ogryn are only serving chaos because they were lied to and told that they're serving the Emperor. A lot of Imperials would definitely just kill them for heresy, but their innocence is a good point of argument for why they shouldn't be killed for such things.

It is better to die for the emperor than live for yourself.
