Istvan is one of the best examples of why I will never understand how anyone can seriously love the traitor legions and defend them as being right. Like bro comeon. No one that read even just a few of the books can seriously say they are right. They all fall so deep from all they were too. By the siege of terra 60% of their primarchs are nothing but pathetic sad beings that can‘t even face what they are doing ot have become. And most of their legions with them. And fulgrim alone bumps it up to 85% patheticness rating for all legions combined on his own. Meanwhile the Imperiums later evils become more and more understandable even tho not good things either. But how can you read parts like the last stand of the loyalists and then say nah man the backstabbing traitors like lucius are the guys I root for I like them way better then Lokin and Garro ? And there are such people. Not many most chaos fans like them for how rotten and evil they are they like them as bad guys not as the ones that should win and are actually right in anything. I don‘t talk about those just to clarify.

You feel for the guy and why he went rogue in the first place and how that fall is a real tragedy; a man who would have otherwise been a hero sung in legends for millennia to come for his accomplishments and service to the God-Emperor, hamstrung and forced to play the villain by the greedy, the spiteful, the irrational, and the unreasonable. And then Huron says 'Fuck it, let's join Chaos, forsake all nobility and honor, and burn this mother down.' And then you just want him to die...
@@shadowstrider8295 Ah. Well you can understand how I could mistake 'Huron fal' for 'Huron's fall' due to bad grammar instead of 'Huron-Fal'. And my point still stands. Lufgt Huron's fall from grace is tragic, up until he joins Chaos and becomes Huron Blackheart. And both he and Ancient Rylanor are more compelling than a Loyalist Death Guard Dreadnought who died in the opening salvo of Istvaan 3 because his armor was compromised and he chose to overload his reactor instead of dying to the Life-Eater virus. It's tragic to be sure, but you don't really get enough of Huron-Fal to really warrant comparing him to Rylanor, another Loyalist Dreadnought who survived the betrayal at Istvaan 3 and waited 10,000 to take revenge on Fulgrim by taking them both out with a virus bomb on his terms.
@Brutalyte616 Yes, I understand the reason that some people say the story of Huron Fal is more tragic is the fact that their last act of defiance was born through their approaching death not at the hands of enemy combatants but something they couldn't fight against, it showcased the brotherly bond between Space Marines And just like Rylanor, they went out on their own terms
