Actually this can work if your customers cannot buy these products themselves elsewhere but only thru a dealer like you. For example, like with autoparts when a water pump costs $120 everywhere else, but you as a dealer can get it for $50-60 and sell it to customers for as much as you want between $60 and $120 like auto parts stores work. But here anybody can buy Amsoil products by being preferred customers getting the products at a cheaper price and getting same free shipping. Whats the point of dealing with a dealer if they can get it directly from the manufacturer at the same price. This pyramid marketing model does not make any sense. It is not viable at all and Amsoil is just making money on these poor people who think once they become dealers, they will be able to make money. Not cool. If Amsoil cared more, they would not sell their products direct to consumers especially at lower prices. They would better sell their products only thru dealers thus creating more favorable environment for dealers like other companies like Amway and others. Who are they they thinking these dealers customers will be? Some stupid hillbillies who do not have internet and can't get the oil without middlemen? This model is full of crap. Amsoil is encouraging people to become dealers and is prevent them from making money at the same time. Not good. Why would a repair shop buy Amsoil products from me as a dealer if they get it online directly at the same price? Nonsense. Waste of time actually
Hi Rob, I am currently a Preferred customers and over the past year have tried out several items. 5W-30 Synthetic Small Engine Oil, 10W-40 Synthetic Small Engine Oil, SABER Professional Synthetic 2-Stroke Oil, Semi-Synthetic Bar and Chain Oil, 0W20 Signature Series for car & Amsoil filter, several of the gasoline additives, DOMINATOR Coolant Boost. My son uses 10W-40 Synthetic Dirt Bike Oil. I live on a busy rural road near a small town and was thinking about having a sign (Amsoil products sold here). Is there a way to sell product (make some $ on the side) & educate people without becoming a dealer. I really believe in the product.
A lot of Dealers start out as PC's and upgrade after learning more about AMSOIL. Because you believe in the product already and have experience using the products, I'd suggest you are in a great position to become a Dealer and make some extra money. Although there is nothing to stop you from selling the products you purchase as a PC, you'll make slightly more profit as a dealer plus you could potentially earn commissions, have customers assigned to you from AMSOIL and earn passive/recurring income if you register other PCs or accounts. AMSOIL also has nice signage available to Dealers if you'd like to buy one from AMSOIL. Whoever registered you as a PC should be able to help you upgrade to a Dealer account if/when you decide to give it a try. Good luck and have fun
I got amsoil prefer member several years ago. I have since became on owner operator truck driver and using amsoil in the truck. Is it worth switching to the commercial account or just stay as a preferred member?
The commercial program offers discounts based on purchase volume that may make it worth while for you. Also, the commercial program does not have an annual fee like the PC program does
There’s no minimum sales requirement set by AMSOIL but the government usually wants to see a reasonable expectation of profits if you choose to use a business as a means of creating tax write offs
Thanks, the product is to expensive for the return, this ia a fact.Full synthetic oil including amsoil is a blend of regular patrolium and ester oil. same as everybody else in the business of selling oil. No body buys full synthetic oil except for military jets ect.
Amsoil is a multi-level marketing company that sells through sponsored dealers. AMSOIL is sold in repair shops and to fleets, so you see the difference is that AMSOIL has a product to sell that most pyramid scheme do not.
One of the distribution channels that AMSOIL uses is direct selling/MLM (among others). Unfortunately, there are a lot of misconceptions about this type of business model but that’s okay…it’s not the right opportunity for everyone
Absolutely that is one of the great things about being an AMSOIL dealer. You get commissions on any account that you sponsor & even some from your downline dealers.
