Hi Guys, this video is not a recommendation to avoid Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 rather it is me trying to explain what can it do better and if it is not what you are looking for in a bike then probably there are other options as well.
I have captured typical adventure bike characters of Himalayan 450 like its wheel, height, ground clearance etc.

1. Tiger 600 is not easy in the city rides 2. Tiger 600 is not good on adventure rides/off roads 3. Tiger 600 is one hell heavy bike 4. Tires are not tubeless 5. It is hefty in price These are 5 reasons not to get tiger 600 Tiger 600 is only touring purpose and only for touring you are paying heavy price.

You have stated very valid reasons why one should not opt for the new Himalayan. I agree with most of the reasons. Here are some add-ons. 1. You forgot to mention the weight of the luggage when lifting the bike. A common use case scenario will be when one goes on a long ride with saddle bags/panniers+ Top box+tank bag. The weight of all these things + the weight of the bike + and low traction will surely be a pain in case you ride solo. 2. One big drawback for the new Himalayan as well as the old one is the tube-type tires (till the time the company plans to bring the tubeless version). During long rides, it will surely create unnecessary hassle due to the unavailability of petrol pumps and mechanics at high altitude regions. Trust me doing a tube-type tire repair all by yourself is no joke. 3. Seat height is still one big issue among short riders. This issue gets amplified when one is doing off-road terrain. Also, how comfortable it will be while commuting is still a big question.

Nobody goes to shop and buy a adventure bike , just like that. Must be some purpose. I had chopper for over 25 years, driven with joy, now Want some comfort en want to drive with the friends longer distance. I think it is time to change some style give up my old chopper away. Can also have less pain after 500 km. and can drive off road too. Everymotorbike which I need or such as my bike minimum 200 kg. And you have to , you must be able to lift up from the grond. It is easy. I am surely not agree with your opinion about 21 inc front wheel , my chopper has 21 inc front and 19 inc rear tires. never having problem with it. İf road is bad. take out some air. Soft tires with less air pressure gives you more control and safety. At the highway got to pomp it up again of course..

No offence: Point - 1 - Not everyone is Sagar Sheldekar, in city like Delhi, no cornering. Point - 2 - I have seen people riding Race bikes on road, definately your contradictory statement, not everyone is riding on tracks. @@Jatinsharmafamily Spot on what you said I agree. I have now had two RE 411 Himalayan Motorcycles and I enjoy riding it very much. As long as you accept the bikes limitations and purchase it with all that in mind. I fancy having the new 452 RE Himalayan but as it's a very new bike, I will wait until I see a lot more reports after it has been on the market for awhile. It usually takes about two years for all reports to come back for a more balanced view on a new model Motorcycle. The makers usually use the two year early sales & feedback to improve and adjust and refine that model bike. However it does look and sound like a really good Motorcycle, we will wait and see!

@Jatinsharmafamily
@Jatinsharmafamily 8 месяцев назад
Hi Vinkab749, thank you for watching and writing to me. For touring + city ride I would look for following attributes in a bike: 1. Good suspension with atleast 150mm of travel to take on different terrains 2. Ground clearance at least 185mm 3. Comfortable seat 4. Good fuel tank capacity (13-15 ltrs is good) so as to have less stops 5. Decent power to tackle different terrains (min 30 bhp to 35nm ) so if there is a power drop in high altitude atleast decent power is left over Any bike that ticks ✔️ majority or all the boxes at less cost purchase, maintenance and high reliability will be my choice Short answer Himalayan or Scrambler 400x is sensible choice provided if Himalayan is in the same price bracket otherwise my pick would be Scrambler 400x at this moment. And if KTm 390 adventure comes in the same price then that is my pick but that’s bot the case. Hope I could give some meaningful insight. Do let me know bro🤗🤗🤗👍

Don’t know if it makes sense of you comparing the Himalayan with a tiger. Other than the fact that both have 21 inch spoke wheel I don’t see any other similarities. As you ride more and more these things do not matter and you gradually enjoy the benefits these brings along. However I know many people do not want to struggle with weight, height and also want a handling like a street backed or sports bike which can lead to expectations which can’t met full by by an adv like Himalayan or tiger. If someone really is concerned with these stuff then should avoid adv. That’s what it is abt otherwise adv makes lot of sense. I have made more videos on Himalayan, may be that can give more insight. Hi Sumant, thank you so much for the feedback and support 🤗🤗🤗👍. Sumant, below 5lakh I would check below bikes: 1. KTM adv 390 base variant (better on road bike) 2. Himalayan 450 (better off and on road bike for city it is ok but have similar difficulty all adventure bikes has) 3. Scrambler 400x (if mostly it’s city and highway ride and only 5%off road) Please test ride all these bikes and see which one appeal to you and your riding preferences. Do let me know if you have any query. My best wishes for you.

Any idea what is the turning radius?
@Jatinsharmafamily
@Jatinsharmafamily 7 месяцев назад
Not sure about the number but it is very manageable. Handle bar provides good angle and does not lock up early thereby helps in tight turn. I rode the Himalayan450 you can watch it on my channel , I hope that gives you some idea👍

Bro no offence but did you even drive New Himalayan and are you comparing Tiger of that scale vehicle with Himalayan. It would be stupidest comparison ever. I waited for Hinalayan for 3 years and I don't think any of these things you mentioned are going to bother me. Plus the price point at which I am getting Himalayan & also the service network of RE is worth considering. 1. From the series of videos it has been observed that Himalayan is powerful, beginner friendly, handles well on twisties even with 21 inces 2. I love stance of bike which looks big on city roads.. I would prefer comfortable Hinalayan for my daily 15km office ride 3. I had 200kg thunderbird which I dropped multiple times but didn't face much difficulty lifting it after couple of drops 4. RE is launching tubeless rims soon.

Sandeep, thank you for watching and writing. I have absolutely not compared Himalayan with Tiger. Not even once I have mentioned it the entire video. Second, I have said very clearly what is evident in Himalayan. Last I have said that there are many reasons to buy HIMALAYAN. SO OVERALL I AM SAYING HIMALAYAN IS CERY CAPABLE MACHINE AND TO BE BOUGHT TO USE IT TO ITS FULL CAPABILITIES AND IF YOU DON’T want to do it then avoid it.

@@Jatinsharmafamily Thanks for the reply. Biking is more aspirational than a purpose oriented for 90% of the people. I would be one of those 90% as I won't be doing much of long rides but just 200-300km once in two months and mostly I will use it in city. Himalayan is my dream since 2019.

Wrong about the tyres on Himalayan 452. They are tubeless. Cross that one off your list. Heavy in an advantage in windy conditions but, yeah it is hard to lift, especially if you do it wrong like you did. Try lifting it like you would a Harley; back to bike and take little steps.

Hi bro, thanks for watching and writing. I mentioned very clearly that for India Himalayan comes with tube tyres as of now. I mentioned weight comes in the way when riding it in the city and not on highway. Lifting a heavy bike is not easy no matter what technique you use and it gets difficult as the terrain gets challenging. I hope I could explain

I agree and disagree both on everything you said. I have just got the 452 and been riding it in the city. On top of that I am a really short rider as well. What you're stating is a common factor with ALL ADV motorcycles. And I suggest try riding the new Himalayan on roads and twisties. It is surprisingly easy to maneuver around every bent or on a straight.

Hi bro, I really appreciate your message. Why are you on any bike. You say the bikes to heavy to lift easy don't drop it. It's to tall I'm 5 foot 3' inside leg of 26 inches. I lowered my himalayan . I do all of my riding on the open roads. I changed my tyres to metzeler tourance. What a different. . I buy a bike and run it then I start changing things so the bike will do what I want .millions are spend in research and development in every bike. Stick to riding the bike rather than doing a review on them to compare a the himalayan against the triumph. 😂 no no no . I couldn't review my himalayan against my speed triple. Yes it's been lowered as well. . Rant off . Get back to riding.
