Man, this build is what had me wanting an m2, I got lucky and I’m getting a lci 2018 white m2 og one owner with every option. For me I don’t need the high crazy hp numbers with pure turbos 500whp is more than enough for me and that sound is just amazing. I’ve had an s55 m4 and several other BMW cars to include the b58 engine 340i awd with six speed. I had muscle cars and pushing 700whp for what I do with cars now 500whp is way more than enough for daily driving and all around reliability.
@soggybigbooty8451 depends on goals and what you want to use the car for really. And m2 has two different motor choices n55b30t0 or s55. I personally chose the lci m2 with n55b. I prefer the sound and I have another car for daily driving. Mine m2 is making 535whp on pump 93 and e50 makes 675whp it's the perfect balance for sounds track and corners. If you just want good power with some basic bolt ons and tune m4 or m3 but anything more than that it will get very costly but can be a beast as well but make sure to do the crank hub especially if planning on power in the 600whp mark. Crank hub job is around 3-5k depending on where you go. The n55 def makes good power as well as the n54. It all depends on goals and at the end of the day you can make anything "fast" but bmws especially M cars are about the driving experience and handling. That's why I love the short wheel base of the m2. The 1m is a gem as well but I prefer the extra goodies of the m2.
I’m not gonna lie to you now I think about it because my first thought was strongly opposed to getting a N 55 m2 because I had a N 55 and now I’ve had 2S 55s. The M motor is one of the best high six motors ever but the N 55 sounds amazing. Honestly, I think it’s one of the best sounding six cylinder motors ever and the man of money you save it would be hard just to find the extra money but I feel like eventually I want to build it and make some power in the N 55 it’s just not the motor for that, I feel like no matter how much you put into a N 55 it’ll always make pretty low numbers unless you’re throwing absolute massive cash at it man you really threw me for a loop with this one
Is that a pre-LCI or is that an actual LCI M2? I know people who has pre LCI, they change the headlights and the tail lights to LCI. You have the Pre-LCI gauge. Is it better to get the Pre LCI or spend a few thousands more for the LCI?
yes but then youre maxed on on upgrades. If you buy s55 then you have room to go above. I just bought this exact car 2 weeks ago after watching this video. m2 f87 n55. I love it so much.
@@anthonyb2990any modern car can be fast straight line, it’s how it handles, the experience, etc. any M car is better than a faster base model no matter what
