I bought the Klymit Insulated Hammock V this year for about 200e. With its supposed 4.3 R-value, I hoped to pair it with an under quilt to camp in winter conditions. It's fine in summer, is comfortable and opens up my hammock nicely. However, I was cold in October using the mat. Now it seems, its r value is actually more like 1.9, making it marginally better than closed cell foam. It's a con, the deep grooves have no insulation at all. Worst of all, Klymit still advertises the Hammock V as a 4-season mat and the cost is STILL around 200euros! 🤬 Don't waste your money!

Absolutely. They're endangering people that go out into the fall and winter camping seasons expecting it to keep them warm and it totally does not.

Thanks. You saved me from the Klymit! The Aircore Divide fits the budget. Amazon no longer carries it, but REI still does.

Very informative video Well planned out Good information My only criticisms come as a former photography assistant , Shut the curtains They are messing with your white balance And saturation indoors. When you can afford it, consider getting a ring light . Have a blessed day. Safe travels.

I actually was using a 200 watt video light, but the sun was coming straight in that window and the curtains are chain operated and the chainbwas broken. I normally shoot outdoors or at my place so I didn't have all of my equipment.

Thanks for this video. All my women friend backpackers told me I shoukd get the Klymit.. I want the Rapide so I'm so glad im watching and now i know I'm choosing the right pad.
