Thankyou so much for this video, Deb!! Yes yes yes I totally agree! I have a large collection of Lady Diors, but as soon as I bought my lady Djoy ( in the medium latte), it has become my new favorite Dior bag. It’s just so pleasurable to wear especially everyday. I love how easy it is to retrieve my items in the DJoy, whereas it’s a bit more difficult with the Lady Dior. And yes! Definitely the Djoy’s adjustable straps make it a pure delight to wear shoulder or crossbody; I’m never able to comfortably wear my Lady diors crossbody. I only wish I had that stunning purple one you have! It’s heart stopping!!🤩

Aw thank you. I love the aesthetic of the lady dior but I’ve never loved using it. I am in love with the purple mulberry colour. It’s surprisingly easy to style. Maybe as I wear so much black or grey 😂

Very interesting review of these 2 versions of the lady Dior. The D-joy looks so much more easy to use. My only concern is if they are just part of the East-West trend that will disappear or if they’re here to stay.

Yep they are probably more trend driven but I don’t mind about that. I would rather have a bag I love than one I have just because it’s a classic etc.

The way I see it. Real or fake if it's a style I like then I like it and will buy it. But to me the *preluxz* one looks better than the real one. And who's gonna be inspecting ladies purses. If your out there trying to figure out if someone's bag is real who are you the prise police? So If you can get a really nice fake one then why not? Most of us don't have thousands dollars to spend on a real one and wouldn't anyway. No one has to know if it's fake or real. That's nobodies business. Enjoy and wear your bag which ever you have.

I had Lady Dior in my wishlist for so long but made the plunge with Lady D-Joy small in powder pink instead as I am petite. Absolutely love the versatile looks and that it can be worn more casual than a Lady D. So glad you shared the cons of the Lady D. No regrets on my side now 🥰

I loved this comparison. And while I hope to buy the medium djoy it did inspire me to buy my first Dior bag! I went for the My Dior top handle in black because it looks elegant and smaller for evening use yet large enough to hold a pair of glasses and my daily items. The logo is also very small with lots of the puffy stitching visible. By comparison, I thought the similar looking Chanel flap bags were rather boring and their chain straps looked uncomfortable.

I tried the Lady Dior several times in the large, medium and the mini. It just didn’t work for me. Especially the annoying handles. Then I got the D Joy medium and I love it. Being able to fold down the handles and having a wider opening made this much more useable. It’s a pity they won’t tweak the design of the Lady Dior to allow the handles to fold down.

I have no problems with Lady Dior handles. If you attach the strap / chain ( in mini size version) to the outer side of the connecting rings, the handles will stay in upright position. While I do find the East-West style interesting, I think it's a trendy bag and will be discontinued by Dior at some point.

Thank you! Yes I’ve def tried that but then the handles stay up but I find them uncomfortable. You might be right with the djoy being a little more trend driven and it may well be discontinued but I don’t mind about that. I just prefer it so that’s enough for me x

They both are so beautiful but if someone offered me one, I’d choose the East/West Lady Dior. Though I’ve never seen either, I think that it should be more desirable than a Chanel Classic Flap. Awesome video, Deb, thanks!

My Medium Lady Dior in black lambskin is my favorite bag of ALL TIME! I am obsessed with mine and if I had to give up my entire collection except for one, I would keep the lady. I have thought about the djoy however the feet on the bottom of the lady is what makes my heart sing

perfect timing. i was able to finally go and see a lady dior, as i had to decide between a small and a medium. decided on a small which i will be buying preloved because sadly it does not keep its value. anyways, now im regretting not trying on or asking to see the DJOY. i saw it and it looked so pretty.however i felt like i had already wasted the SAs time for not buying anything, asking to see the saddle and the lady so i felt bad asking to see another bag. to turn around and still not buy anything. as im thinking the DJOY is also cheaper on the resale market.

Agree with you about Djoy. The look of Lady Dior is classic but the versatility of DJoy is unique. The flap is the best invention. The zipper before would rip the skin of your hand getting in and out!!!

I need an honest answer please. Between this lady d joy and the Caro styles, which do you feel brings you more joy carrying, and which is most functional? I am heading to Hawaii in a week and would really like to invest in another bag. And I do not want to impulse buy.

I do love both. The d joy is more stunning. A little fiddly with the flap and handles jangling etc and I would say it’s more of an evening bag for me. The Caro is also stunning but a little more casual and more for during the day but also nice in the evening. It’s easy to use and beautiful. I think it depends on when you want to use it. Also whether you def want a top handle. I also think the price maybe comes into play. The one that brings most joy is the DJoy but a lot of that is the colour. I love using the Caro also as it’s easy and goes with everything. Caro is an all rounder. Hope this helps ? X

Great video. I do own a medium d'joy in python. It is my favorite. I do not own a medium lady but am consider it for my next one. I do have a question. For resale value, on unicorn bags, do you think the medium lady or d'joy is the better investment?

I have the Lady Dior in the medium size in the old style with the zipper. It’s actually my husband’s favorite bag I own. I think most of my bags are annoying so I really don’t mind carrying this bag because it makes such a statement.

i love Ld but they are not so functional and are delicate to use… recently bought the carnage calf book tote with the Dior charms, to me it’s a book tote and a LD at the same time yet very functional with the additional strap for daily commuting. i love the color on yr djoy😊

I have the same cherry red medium with the zip..love the looks of the Lady Dior but it’s the most annoying bag to use. I have used it so carefully but already there is so much wear and tear on the sides 😢 can’t sell it as it has horrible resale value
