I know I asked you when you were is AUS, but can you find out how much it'd cost to get you a club for Outer Bounds from California to Ireland? I can't find any answers online or from my retail stores for 1 club
Could we get more reviews of clubs from the 00s? This post Pro V1 era is the most interesting because some clubs were so high performing that they are still playable today. The Titleist 975JVS, 983E and 905R. The Taylormade R320, R7 Quad MAX and Superquad TP. The Ping G20, which still holds it’s value at triple the price of all these other amazing drivers.
Graduated high school in ‘96…wouldn’t start playing for another 5 years when baseball petered out for me. Back then I rocked a complete set of Wilson clubs (Dicks bargain basement brand). Definitely getting more of an 80’s vibe though.
I still use a Sonartec rescue 3 with a proforce shaft…..goes about 250 when I hit it solid and can go long left and high right with no probs 😂 Same as the new ones. Not sure hybrid tech has changed much imo over the last 20 odd years.
In 96, I was 23, and I think it was around that time TaylorMade had irons with a graphite shaft and the heads had the color from the Burner in the cavity. I used to want those irons so bad. Big fan of that retro look, but yeah, you can keep the wrap around grip 😂
I actually have one…left handed no less. It is a ridiculous club, with the bubble shaft no less. It will not rescue anyone. It is a predator. 32 years old in 96
At least that diaper doesn't "blow out" up your hand. I was deployed to Germany in 1996 and that "Children" song in the German clubs was MIND BLOWING!!!!!!!!
But you need to hit it with the ball of the day, it would have been titleist Prof 90 or maybe before that, precept, Wilson or something super soft and spongy.
A similar shaped hybrid I played for long time is the Adams Super 9031. That's another club worth testing! It came out in 2012 or 2013, so a bit newer than this old beast, and it's got a speed slot on the bottom as well as a weight in the bottom. It shares quite a bit of tech and looks with the Qi10, but then, Taylormade did buy Adams golf for good reason. I'd actually love to see the Qi10 and the Adams Super 9031 head to head, as they share a lot of tech despite being a dozen years or so apart.
