Watching from the UK. Very nice result. I'd leave out the cheese and the flour - they're supposed to be french fries not cheese snacks! Also Air Fryer for 20 mins at 200c is quicker and I sprinkle with coarse semolina flour to get them really crisp coating

These are amazing and I tried them out on the kids a bit ago, but I don't agree about them being better than fried. They are almost there, but if you want proper fried chips/fries/fried potatoes, they have to be fried to hit the mark. But I will say I would eat these a couple of times a month if it reduces my intake of oil. I don't eat potatoes that often now as my biggest problem is with carbs,I haven't gone keto but by reducing my carb intake by 2 thirds I have managed to start losing about 10 pounds in weight a month, even though my food intake has gone up as I replaced my carb intake with protein and non-carb and low carb flour, so I still have bread, cakes etc but they are low carb. Also I came up with a mash potato replacement that is very low carb made from cauliflower, celeriac, swede and a few other low carb veggies, steamed until soft , blended and mashed all together with a small amount of milk and butter, salt and pepper, and although it goes a bit too sloppy to be a mash substitute, I add a small amount of powdered instant potato to it to bring it back to having the same texture as fluffy mash potatoes. It's flavour isn't too dissimilar to normal mash, it has added flavour from the other veggies, but can be used in any recipe that requires a mash potato but has less than a quarter of the carbs of the real thing, and is very filling. The trick to having a low carb diet is replacing the carbs with things that are very similar, then you don't feel like you are missing out. I've swapped out most of my sugar content for sweeteners, which I will top up with a small amount of sugar, honey or golden syrup, which doing this helps to convince you that what you are consuming is the regular sugar, and by doing this it goes a long way to help you in sticking to diets. And if you fancy something not on your diet, have it. That way your desire has been satisfied and you can continue with your diet. If you keep denying yourself whatever the thing you've been craving for days and weeks, eventually you get pissed off at the diet, and thing "screw this!" And you chuck in the diet all together and have a massive relapse and start eating the stuff that's bad for you again. But if you let yourself have that treat when you feel like it, you tend to get back in to the diet instantly and only have a treat every few weeks, like rewarding yourself for reaching a goal and not feeling bad about it. One thing I will say about going carb free or low carb is that the replacement food and flours and other things of that type are expensive, and it makes more sense to buy it in bulk from online suppliers rather than buying small amounts from supermarkets etc! The potatoes in this video will no doubt become one of the treats in my diet now. Like I said, not as good as fried, but definately the next best thing in my opinion.
