Be nice folks, these highlights are just for fun. This tournament is open to everyone, even new players who are learning in their own way. Small error: The overlay says Round 2 when this was in fact Round 1. Forgive me. Donate $10 or more to appear on the endscreen! streamlabs.com/jimothycool/tip Co-narrated by xtina! Thanks for coming on. This is our first attempt at Duo commentary, feel free to leave feedback!
I expected a wish to avoid crits, or a body slam to get paralysis and secure a bit more. Forblaze would have won almost all of the times but yeah these situations are kinda common too.
Bro wasn't even sure what move to use, he probably wasn't sure of what not effective and super effective mean, i think they are just a child or a guy who never played pokemon who just learned that pokemon showdown let's you make your teams with just a few clicks and that was enough to go here and make his dream team.
If someone had told me a Duskull killed a Jirachi and Articuno alongside chipping zapdos to half health in a tournament, I wouldnt believe it no matter if Im high or drunk or not
I was gonna join the tournament and I assumed it was a bunch of people coming in from the gen 3 invitational just mercilessly stomping out people. I now understand that I shoulda just hopped in and had fun like these people.
That first Skarmory was the real definition of "This is insane". But I have never seen anything like the Duskull family! That Cradily must have made the opponent break down mentally...
Let's go I love Dusclops and Duskull. I wonder if Duskull can work in doubles with its Levitate ability and access to Helping Hand to support boom and EQ while being immune to both.
That first game was NUTS. Honestly, so many games during this tournament have been insane - it's a REALLY good time to be an ADV fan. Thank you Jimothy for all your incredible work for the community! (EDIT: That last game is even more insane. I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS AND ABSOLUTELY NO ANSWERS)
Okay, these were a good time, but did people who have never played Pokemon before join a tournament? I am genuinely curious what happened to allow for this beauty.
The duo Dus was amazing. I had initially thought oeople were being unnecessarily mean for the last match... until I watched the last match. Interesting indeed
I'm not even sure which player here had me the most heated. MVP Rose being LVP Lose and failing to just fucking click any goddamn attack on Duskull, Aggrontrio deciding that Giga Drain is the most powerful move in the game or Lucat2 being an actual goddamn cat on a keyboard. This video had me genuinely stressed out lmaooo
I wish I participated in this tournament. I had the impression that it would be too many good players but this is proving me otherwise. One single Blissey or Zapdos lead and these people are cooked.
Since fighting is resisted by flying and the HP damage was minimal, its likely Venasaur was running hidden power fighting for coverage. The question as to why it was never used on the Cradilly is another question entirely.
That was greatly entertaining. I'm not sure which match was the most stupid/most 300 IQ one (i'm not sure what to use), the Cradily one or the duskull one ?
Super fun commentary, I gotta submit some replays for your ladder replay series. That game was like between two AI or something lmao it did not feel right. Felt like watching two kids battle 🤣
