this might sound stupid, but the fact you specified the length of the USB cable is fricken awesome. I ordered this mic and have been stressing about the length. Thank you for including that information
budget mics are getting so much better! these mics are actually able to compete with more expensive mics. and these budgets will be helpful for starting streamers or podcasters
I got this mic about two weeks ago and i do have a question. I used to have the hyperx cloud ii wireless headphones, but i wanted to use the mic monitoring function, so i purchased a new set of cloud ii wired headphones (i made sure to buy the old kingston version not the HP) and i noticed the sound quality is not very good through my headphones when gaming or watching youtube. I thought maybe it was the headphones, but i also have a pair of Bose quiet comfort headphones laying around and I tried to use those plugged directly into the microphone and they also didn't sound great, and i am NOT an audiophile. I am considering purchasing a set of Sennheiser headphones because of the good reviews but I just wanted to ask what your thought are on the sound quality when using the headphone jack is. and if there is any solutions like using a mixer to plug into or if you had any recommendations for a fix. ive messed with all sound settings and even downloaded an equalizer to no avail, I got the sound to where it's manageable but nothing compares to my wireless cloud ii headphones. Thank you for your time! oh i should add in that my computer's aux input does not work at all so i cant really make any comparisons with anything plugged into that
Like it sounds fine bit useless features like rgb lighting add bloat, sounds worse than an sm58, and is both larger and with worse buildquality than an sm58. Is it the best for home-use? Not really, its best for live vocals, but i would rather use that than this.
I am really confused what to get. In my country AM8 AND K688 is only $4 difference. I will mostly use it on discord and would like to keep it away as much as possible from my mouth.
Yeah the microphone was suprisingly pleasant. My friend wanted the same one but cant buy it. i hope i win the giveaway so i can give it to her as a present.
But being based on the same cartridge, the SM58 is the more affordable option for something EXTREMELY similar to the SM7B. So I’m comparing closer price ranges for people in the market to not spend $500 on a microphone.
@@AustinDavenport Not to mention the additional charges for the mic stand/boom arm, a cloud lifter/ booster for the SM7B. That will put you between $600-$700 easily. I have the AM8 and love it. I like it better than my SM58.
More people buy the 58 for vocals. The 57 is more of an all arounder mic. The low frequency of the 57 isn't as low as the 58 and makes a big diff on vocals. 57 is great for micing guitar cabs, snare and hi-hats.
