The thing is weighing benefits. You do not use daily, just for a cut. My story. A worker moved some furniture around up back. It was a piece of metal roofing. Dog jumped over it. Dog got bad cut on back leg. Came back all bloody and limping. Human applied manuka honey mixed with apple cuder vinegar. Wrapped affected area. Doggie healed completely in 1 wk. Old ways saves days. This would have cost me 500cad ay the vet, and possibly much more!

Hey hun. Doggy didn't flinch! I mixed it into the honey. May or not've been needed because both ingredients are anti septic. Soon honey will be illegal. .Buy 2 Sooo i mixed like 1 tsp. Manuka honey Lil bit apple cider vinegar. Get it in there real good. Glob it on reaaal good, cover and wrap. By mouth (po) 1/2 clove garlic I know he was getting better on day 2. Then the cut was completely closed on day 5-6. Day ~6. Went running around again. Wound opened up again about 1/4", doggie tore off dressing. Damn.. Repeated the process. Wrapped for 4 days more. Seriously, 3 wks later couldn't tell it happened. It was a serious cut.about 1.25" Keep from air and bandage Just like us 2 legs

I've used Bag Balm for years. With a small farm full of animals I've got cans of the stuff all over the place. I haven't found any animal (or human) that it doesn't work wonders on. Given that it was originally made for udders, spreads well, and keeps flies out; it has been my go to for decades. Healed a kitten with a gash across her tiny paw that went to the bone in a matter of days!

@PatriciaG.5050 10 дней назад
@Makinplans1 this is true. My vet had me put sugar on my dogs wound after surgery and it stayed wet all the time. I'm not sure what type of sutures used. It was green. It looked more like fishing line then a regular suture but it was used to hold the skin in place because she couldn't close the wound completely because there wasn't enough skin left over after the surgery. Then she used a different suture to hold the green suture in to place. It was like a shoe sting type setup.

petroleum jelly's side effects on skin include locking in any dirt, sweat, or bacteria that exists. This barrier will also deter any added moisture or beneficial ingredients from other products from reaching the skin. Petroleum jelly's dangers are made worse by the fact that it is not water soluble, it does not easily wash away, which means it can build up in your system over time.

My pour cat Jackie got attacked by something 9 days ago, and my car is broken down, so I have to use what I have on had to help him. One of the wouds did get really bad infected 🤢 So i have been opening the wound up twice a day with warm, soapy water. Then I squeeze out all the puss. Well, as much as I can before, he let's me know he has had enough. Then I spray some silver honey on the wound. Let it set for a few minutes. Then I put some organic castor oil over that. It seems to be helping. The last two days, I have been getting less and less puss out, and it doesn't smell nasty anymore. 😁 My husband is a trucker, so as soon as he gets home, we will take Jackie to the vet to get a thorough examination and antibiotics if needed.

Vaseline works so much better on cuts and abrasions than Neosporin. Use Bag Balm for your fur babies and yourself. Vetaricyn Plus works awesome as well. It is completely non toxic to all animals and humans. It is about $28 at pet stores for 8oz spray . My boyfriend accidentally used it thinking it was for us. He swears it made his cuts heal with in a day. I have used it in my fur babies for years. It is that great. As is the Bag Balm.

I am absolutely shocked by what you're saying! The polysporin is beyond incredible and it truly works wonders for healing. It has never caused any allergic reactions in my cat and provides immense relief from pain. The antibiotics in it are like magic, speeding up his recovery in no time. Can you believe that using polysporin is considered wrong? Right now, Walmart has it on sale for half price. I genuinely believe it's a miraculous ointment. Oh, so it's perfectly fine to give your cat that powdery stuff to help them go to the bathroom? I strongly believe that stuff is extremely harmful. No one should ever give over-the-counter medications to animals, especially when they contain harmful chemicals and they're actually going to take that by mouth. This is especially true for older cats with digestive issues. It's just not right for animals, especially the more vulnerable elderly ones. I once gave that powder to my cat mixed with water, and within an hour, she became paralyzed and tragically passed away a few days later. She was already sick, but it seems like she was fine until I gave her that restore relax. And I even gave her the correct dosage, and it wasn't much. I even administered it to her with a dropper to ensure she had some relief from her constipation, which is common in elderly cats. No, the polysporin has never caused any trouble for my cat, and I'm extremely satisfied with how quickly his wounds have healed. They keep telling us so many things are harmful for cats, but I believe they just want us to keep giving our animals those awful chemicals when they don't even need them. And they don't even need to be neutered or spayed. It's all just for the convenience of humans who don't want cats spraying in their homes. Well, let me tell you, my cat never sprays in my house. He's an absolute gentleman. The only reason I have to get him fixed is because he gets into fights and because other family members, who have more power and a higher income than me, have a say in the matter. I don't agree with forcibly altering animals. It is just plain wrong. Give me my own place and none of them would be neutered or spayed. If there's a population problem it's with humans not animals.
