Our Australian sailing from Melbourne to Sydney included a red and gold Gala night. We love a good excuse to dress up! Join us for the night of nights aboard Cunard's Queen Elizabeth.
It’s great to get everyone stoked to get dressed up on Cunard ships. Dress codes everywhere is in shambles so you are doing a great job of keeping the flame going. You are a fun family.
Ooooooo! Very nice!🤗 You 4 look elegant! Australian Camelot 🤗Your Mum and Dad were waiting for a faster tempo before hitting the dance floor 😅 Dress codes have been relaxed or unenforce these days, and that's unfortunate 😔
Haha thank you! Yes they must of been looking for more of a jazz beat 😂 Yes it was a shame to see people in the dining room on gala night wearing jumpers and jeans etc.
We also found that on our Queen Victoria Mediterranean cruise, people dressed up a lot more than they do here. Aussies are pretty casual but on our last QE cruise, quite a lot of people made an extra effort, which was lovely.
Thank you again for an excellent insight on what to expect from a gala night. Interesting the possible cultural difference on formal attire between Australia and europe in england we often embrace any excuse to dress up so we will bring all the glamour we can muster on our cruise. just a couple of questions if I could. Do you get fed enough at mealtimes the portions always look small I do realise the buffet is always open and does the ship get really quite in the late evening . Last but by no means least everyone looked excellent
Thanks for watching another episode of ours ☺️Hahaha you might have seen dad ordering two main meals 🤣 The meals are on the smaller side of portions sizes. But we never went hungry. You can order multiple meals at dinner or go to the buffet. There is the evening selection too which is a smaller range of the buffet but open later. 😄
