Myślę, że częścią tego, dlaczego tak bardzo lubię Polaków, jest to, że większość z nich wyraża siebie. Nie próbują owijać uczuć w przyjemne opakowanie, które ukrywa prawdziwe uczucia. Wulgarne słowa są czasami potrzebne.

I grew up in Poland, where I spent my first 30 years, and I had no problem with not swearing. To the point that I was somewhat known for not having any slip-ups in that regard. However, after moving to Australia over 16 years ago, swearing in English came naturally and quite easily. Today I use various variants of the word "fuck", but not excessively.

Bardzo ciekawy odzinek. Dziękuję bardzo. Kiedy byłem uczniem, lubiłem używać wulgaryzmów. Były one może uniwersalne dla nastolatków, prawda? Czuliśmy się wtedy bardziej skandalicznie i doroslej, ponieważ te słowa wydawały się nam przeznaczone tylko dla dorosłych. Teraz mam 27 lat i jestem nauczycielem. Unikam przekleństw. Myślę, że czasami, w angielskim, przeklinamy, gdy nie mamy lepszego słownictwa i trudno jest nam myśleć o lepszych słowach.

Uczę się polskiego bo moja cała rodzina jest z Polski i kiedy gadają, często nie rozumiem. Czeszę się że znalazłem tego kanal, bo jest idealny na uczowanie słuchanie

Also, I find it kinda disheartening how often clueless English speakers misinterpret Slavic expressions. They see words like the Russian "blyad'/blyat'" or the Polish "kurwa" translated as "fuck" and assume they are verbs, not nouns. Even when I try to explain that these words are better interpreted as the Ibero-Romance "puta", they have the temerity to tell me that you cannot call someone a "блядь"… Also, I've seen a license plate here in the US that says "blyat you", I kid you not…

As for Russian, it sounds surreal to hear swear words in Easy polish

No tak przeklinam i często używam "kurwa" albo "chuj." Ja bym mówiła "ja pierdolę" ale nie mogę tego wymówić tak dobrze. 😅

No cóż... Studenci zawsze mnie o wulgaryzmy pytają na zajęciach, ale okazuje się, że to co najważniejsze to już mają ogarnięte 😆 A "Bober ku**a!" to już jest legendarny..

PS: And thnx, I need to remember that 'ZAJEBIŠČE' is 'AWESOME'! In czech language only similar is 'ZAJEBANĚ' but it's closer to 'F*CKED UP ' so definitely not good. Interesting. And also it is interesting that according to older lady 'šlonci' still follow their prussian heritage while swearing :) In Czechia we also still know 'donner-wetter-element' even though it's not that often said now.While 'šajse' is still common here. Zajebišče! :) Also interesting is 'PIERON' since it sounds like 'PERUN', (the Thunder God like Donnar aka Thor), the main god of slavic pantheon. It's sometimes used as greetings word in Czecha event though it's quite rare. But never heard it as and offensive word. Is polish 'PIERON' the same root as 'PERUN', or is it just another 'false friend' to lay another critical misunderstanding in czech-polish conversation? :D Also 'BRZYDKI' is new false friend for me. In czech 'BŘITKÝ' means 'SHARP', 'EDGY' while polish 'BRZYDKI' means 'UGLY'. Somehow I missed the difference till now, probably because being edge can be also perceived being ugly. Good to know.

Wiele razy przez przypadek przeklinałem po polsku. Na przykład, bardzo łatwo jest przypadkowo wymówić słowo 'minut' jako 'minet'. Wszyscy się tak śmiali i tylko facet 'Błazej', powiedział mi dlaczego. Dlaczego nikt mnie nie ostregł?

uzywam tyle jak w memie "Bobr kurwa, japerdole, Bobr!!!"

We Poles have been increasingly using swear words in our everyday life over a dozen or so years. And Polish cusswords (and I believe it to be true for other Slavic languages too), though not quite inventive in that they mostly refer to all-things sexual or physiological, are nasty. In my opinion the biggest factor to blame is that generally our personal culture and propriety have been sinking and getting worse, simple. Foreigners, please speak proper and cultured Polish, don't lower yourselves into filthy language. Don't use "zajebiście" as it is not a "lajtowe (?) przekleństwo" (i.e. a mild kind of a swear word) because it doesn't mean 'awesome good' but 'fucking good'.
