To be honest it turned out good but I wouldn't use it in the salon because it seems like more work to section and put them in than to just comb the hair up and cut it with the same sectioning. Depending on the thickness of the client's hair of course
This method works well for clients who want a quick refresh of a similar style (btwn fullSvc visits) or may not physically be able to sit for a longer duration fullSvc cut & styling. Thanks!
I think it misses the point of a ponytail cut, which is to allow you to get a specific haircut with minimal cuts and no tools besides regular house scissors. In this video, you're basically using the ponytails as alligator clips. It's a lovely cut, but I don't think the hairbands add enough to justify calling it a ponytail cut. Love the content! Your videos helped me nail a specific pixie cut I could never get to look *just right*. Thanks!
I appreciate the video content always. I just wouldn’t use this in the salon. To each their own, but if I use products I can buy at any store, why would they buy it from me and not Amazon. If I am using a technique that someone who is unlicensed could fairly easily do without needing to understand headshape or elevation, why wouldn’t they just buy some shears at Sally’s and just do it at home.
Discovered the ponytail haircut on Christmas Day. Cut my hair using the ponytail technique. Blissful result. Better than had at majority of professional hairdressers. Who would've known ponytails could do so much good?
