Do Prodigy Mags Work With the Staccato?

Quick video on the initial impressions of the Springfield Prodigy magazine when used in my Staccato P. Does the lower price mean reduced quality?
This is only an initial impression, we will provide updates as the round count rises with these mags.

I talked to a guy a few days ago at our local gun shop about trying to get 20 round prodigy mags locally and he told me that the Staccato boys buy up all the SA mags because they can get 2 for what a Staccato mag costs. The quality of the prodigy mags are really good now. I compared mine that were bought last December to my friends who bought his in 2022 and the difference is like night and day.

stacatto mags are 90 bucks prodigy is 30 at my gun store i went and bought 10 20 round prodigy mags and 3 16 and one 26 round

Do those magazines have any over travel issues for insertion which could lead to damage to your ejector?

Not that I am aware of. I haven't done a ton of measurements either though.

That I'm not sure. I'd imagine so if it takes standard staccato mags but I've not handled one yet

No, they take the Gen 3 mags

Wish they didn’t nobody wants a Prodigy but can’t keep our mags out they houses they always out of stock and 9/10 of them buyers don’t even own one so we gotta wait next stock run I’m sticking and hoarding cus it’s getting sickening at this point

I almost think springfield would've been better off to just release the mags. I haven't heard much good on the pistol itself. I was interested until a lot of the first issues popped up. Hopefully they can get them fixed and start selling better

@@triplefshooting u never buy something new that’s y I waited for them to get the kinks out got one sat b4 last all ready 500 rounds in and no hiccups ik to get the 4.25 cus the 5 definitely needed work

the gun wasnt good on release at least there making money off the magazines rather then having to buy staccato mags for 90 bucks i bought 10 prodigy mags for 40 a piece lol
