If they have it in the wild they need in captivity. Yes all reptiles need UVB, even the "nocturnal" one's use it in one form

All my reptiles have Arcadia UVB lights. All of scaley bois "don't need it" which took away the stress of not exactly understanding UVB. Unfortunately we've all seen beardies online that don't even look real anymore from MBD.

Still going thru the lighting madness for my Anolis marmys have a 10.0 uvb zoomed which just discovered that their bulbs don’t meet regulation so getting another. Also use 10.0 bc it’s a 36inch tall enclosure with metal mesh. Then a 50watt halogen bulb and finally the jungle dawn which feels like I’m welding and doing metal fabrication when I turn it on😂. What do y’all think about this setup? All ears if I can improve the enclosure

That’s pretty much exactly what I run as well!
