thanks to everyone for watching and who is being graceful in my comments 💕 to elaborate, my use of the word simple is being misinterpreted. when i say, “simplecore” i just meant that the look is very minimal. if you watch the video, you’ll see how much i elaborate on the thought that went into every space. all islands are beautiful in their own way! and most islands that are decorated with different themes into one or are reminiscent of 2020 decorating styles, often fall into what the community calls “normcore”. which is definitely not at all what is presented here! please be kind to the creator of this island in the comments. i am so grateful i was able to visit their gorgeous island! 🤍 where i stream weekdays: twitch.tv/dianaulait
Mine is simple. I think people are really creative with all the very detailed layering and terraforming on their islands, and they're nice to visit, but for actual playing I just cannot handle the claustrophobic feel of a super duper decorated island. I need breathing room.
i agree, i want mine to still look like an animal crossing island, if it makes sense. a lot of trees, a lot of flowers etc. i dont want to terraform it too much :(
Definitely inspiring! I follow several Japanese acnh creators and the nostalgic feel of the simpler islands gives me a renewed energy to design in my game. I tend to be a maximalist in real life and on acnh, but there's something about these simpler islands. They're almost a palette cleanser. I would recommend seeking some of these islands out if you're feeling burnt out, but want to continue creating in this game.
Ainyan Crossing - Honey Island DA-8590-5698-2285, Syrup Island DA-5143-7350-0978, Sumire- Soonmoon Island (winter) DA-7505-2613-2259, Nemumi Slow life island DA-9332-3456-8585, Haruchi create- Berrytal Island DA-1608-5112-4385 (island made with zero custon designs codes)
This is my favourite type of design. Spacing and Negative Space is so important to design. You can actually play the game on this kind of island, you can have 3 friends over and not feel like sardines.
This island has so much intentions behind it. I think the word simple might not be the right word, its more minimalistic. every area has a clear focal point and they really set it up like you go from picture area to the next.
that’s what i meant but minimalcore was such a long word 😭 maybe the wrong choice to go with simplecore? a lot of people seem to be confused. but if they just watched the video, they’d see how much i emphasize the thought that went behind it 🤷🏻♀️ thanks for watching!
@@dianaulait When I watched the video I just felt like the word simple was devaluing the design. Simplecore does sound better than minimalcore tho I agree haha. Maybe drop the core and just say minimal, or maybe cleancore? I really like unclutteredcore but it’s massive, lessismorecore is also funny to me. I also wanted to reply cause my previous comment seemed very critical when I read it back, please don’t take it seriously we’re talking about animal crossing which is just a game. Thanks for touring this amazing island!
@@Chris-dou no no, i understand what you meant! some people have not been as kind in the comments but i do not take it personal 😅 it is the internet after all
I believe the word is focal point. And yes! Minimalism. There's still a lot going on, so I'm not even sure if I'd call it that either. But yeah everything is very purposeful
I don't play this game but sometimes I watch people play it and I want to say, the way this island looks really surprised me. It's beautiful and a lot more cozy than other islands I've seen, everything is so nice and I like how everything is mostly orange. Everytime I look at other people's islands they are less organised and they have all the colors which is not bad, but here it's so pretty and calming with just one colour everywhere. I've never seen this game looking so nice before. I just wanted to say this :)
I dont know why, but this video brought me to tears. I had an overwhelming day, but this video calmed me so much and reminded me of the simple joys of life and to not worry about the noise of the world. Thank you so much for showing this, and presenting this island in a non-overwhelming way with your calming voice 🥺
I swear us humans just... really need to look at pretty thing sometimes. As someone who had a pretty severe case of Depression Bedroom™️ and then became disabled shortly after finally beginning to clean it (and thus it is now Depression Bedroom™️ with the added spice of Too Disabled To Properly Take Care of It™️), I am very accutely aware of how much having a functional living space that you _like the look of_ is important to things like your mood and your ability to handle stress. So yeah, sometimes, even if it's in a video game, I think being able to see such a calming, pretty, and _functional_ display of living areas can really help our brains calm down and relax. I mean, heck, our brain can't always tell we're looking at a screen and not actually looking at a nice place! So why not?
Clapping 👏🏼 Thank you. This island is so delightful! It’s on the landscape really recaptures the lovely peaceful atmosphere of earlier games. That’s what first drew me to AC. I used to love watching just fishing and watching the sun set, and seeing how pretty everything was. But NH has been more focused on buying ‘stuff’ and needing to take gifts to the residents everyday. It started to feel like pressure, instead of fun, so I gradually stopped playing. But this inspires me to rethink my approach.
I think when the world was playing together we burned out the game fast. I played alone with no friends. Things were slow and the game felt like I was playing animal crossing new leaf. I still go back to the 3ds and I noticed that new horizons is the better game for those who want control. New leaf is the best animal crossing game for those who want some control but not all the responsibility
my latest island is simple! my biggest goal was to keep it playable- no single tile paths and everything needed to be accessible. It really makes just playing the game super fun, because i dont have to navigate tiny paths or deal with lag
This island is GORGEOUS and so creative with the simplicity + fluidity of the island! My biggest struggles are natural/non-cluttered ways to hide cliffs (done amazingly with the rock section) AND incorporating the back of the island in a more “realistic” way as opposed to just hiding it. I’m soooo inspired. I also love how you took the time to do some close-up camera views to show just how realistic and beautiful the outdoor table setups look!!!!
this game is seriously SO pretty so whenever i can, the camera feature really helps me enjoy the sights i TOTALLY agree though, i found this island super inspiring because of the way they displayed the back of the island
This is so pretty. And it’s kinda how I want my island. Very simple and easy to decorate for each season. I really wish I could do this but I just get overwhelmed and quit.
omg i always hated how my airport was orange (i didn't know that you commit to the color and layout at the very beginning and by the time i realized i had put so much work into it) but seeing this orange themed island made me so happy. i've never completed an island build but i think i'm gonna shoot for something based on this one because it seems doable in a reasonable amount of time
What a cute Island. I am also a Fan of islands that are not too overloaded with items and this Island is really pretty. I will visit it today 😊 thanks fot this video ❤
I loved this video, not just bc of the beautiful island (i will so use it for inspiration) but also your narration and the pace of showing it! You explored it so intentionally and mindfully, loved it :)
This is making me want to bulldoze my entire island but I don't even know where I'd start afterward, trying to manage something of this level seems so overwhelming
This island is so pretty. These are my favorite type of islands, they are just balm to my soul. Just watching this made me feel so relaxed. Thank you for showing it!
THAT'S simple to you?! 😭😭 I barely just started playing the game a month ago, so I've got my work cut out for me. Luckily, I already drew out where I want each theme section to go. (Multi-theme cuz I could never just puck one thing 😂)
no no, i def mean simple as in minimal in style. this is not an easy theme to replicate by ANY means! i love multi-themed islands just as much 💞 i hope you’re having fun with it!
Simplecore. I’ve never heard of that and I like it! I feel like I finally have a name for the style of my island. I love my island, but I have never felt it fit into a specific category until now! This island is so cute and very inspirational for me. Thank you.
I love this smooth simple island and its simplicity and genius in how it flows so beautifully….thank you so much for sharing ! I did a google translation on the island name and it stated ‘Flannel’… hmmm ❤
I just restarted my island after taking a year break from trying to design a really intricately planned island. I got all the way to the end game and just..... hated it. So I put the game away and now I'm trying to redesign very simply and cozily. ❤
The way your videos always give me a renewed excited feeling about this game!! ~ they’re made with so much love and care, thank you for all you do! 💜👏🏻 Edit: my favorite part is the windy simple dirt path, and the wheat fields, I remember absolutely loving the wheat fields in new leaf, I’m so glad they brought it back~
Simple? I'm sorry, but these islands have a lot of stuff around. I feel like simple is more for islands that have almost no cluttered spaces and are 70% designed without decor/ custom patterns and more nature, and when I say nature, I mean nature. I mean, trees, plants and bushes. Not the "nature" that others might think.
Seriously, I do not have time for all those custom patterns and having to find multiple items of the same decor, and having to trade online and all of that. Ugh I wish it wasn't so overwhelming.
I have one idea I wish Nintendo would do we have shooting stars my I wish Nintendo would add Solar eclipses and Lunar eclipses in the game it would help when it’s too cloudy to watch an eclipse and it could have special prizes based on the kind of eclipse like eclipse glasses, a yard blanket, etc Hopefully somehow the next animal crossing can do this who else wishes this could happen?
does anyone know what is the code for the distressed dirt path they used? I couldnt find it in their creator ID but id love to find it or smth similar!
aww 😭 i’m so happy to be posting here again! i’ve really missed it 💕 i mostly stream on twitch every week if you ever want to watch those (it’s free and fun)
I was never into designing my island like this, I just prefer the classic animal crossing feel with just trees everywhere but some outdoor furniture is nice, islands like this are too much for me lol
My island is even simpler than this, and I love not having the pressure to undergo a huge project. I can just play and not feel like I have this huge obligation aside from being friends with my animals and celebrating holidays. I decorate for holidays and it’s so easy!
This is so cute. I just started playing again and I'm still trying to do basic tasks like getting villagers and saving bells. I don't know what theme to do yet for my island. I get distracted too often with so many choices. 😁
I really loved the tables with the lights around them. I have a kingdom sorta theme, but I wanted my civilians to have a lil area like that to be away from their hard work and gruling king. Such a lovely Island, I def plan on visiting.
i never really was good at placing items on my island so i decided to watch this while starting a new island, i have to admit i'm now a bit less jealous of people who are actually good at making it cluttered! :)
I’ve been redesigning my island for a while now and I hope I don’t get burn out on it soon bc I have adhd and my interests tend to change after a couple weeks but I am thoroughly enjoying getting my island done now. I’m fully moving everything around but I’m gonna keep the styles simple
