Thanks man. Good to be back. Hoping to get back to uploading more frequently but life happens. Haha. I would agree it looks happier in the summer. Only 9 weeks till April. Haha. Hope all is well.
Just picked up a new Tacoma TRD 4x4 off road so I don’t have to deal with this anymore. I’ve done it for a while with my rwd cars and it’s never fun. Great video nice to see you posting again😁😁💪
I can’t blame you. The thought of getting a Jeep Limited or Ram has crossed my mind before. At some point I might. Thanks man it was good to get something out there. Even if it wasn’t anything exciting. I want to get back into things again.
Would have loved to see how much stud poke there was with the 1 inch spacer, or if a 1.25 inch spacer would have worked but these spacer videos have been a great help in allowing me to figure out what I need in order to clear my brakes with the wheels I bought for my car, just not sure I like how much they poke in the front with the 1.5 inch lol
Hey! Yeah the front is certainly the question. I know someone who tried 1.0” spacers and the wheel studs were too long and the wheel didn’t sit right on the spacer. After a while the wheels became loose. If you don’t want to cut the wheel hub studs you’ll have to go 1.25” if you go with a hub centric spacer. I guess you could buy longer wheel studs and replace the stock 1.25” ones and put like a .5-1.0” spacer in there. I believe you need to have 6-7 full rotations on the lug bunts to be considered safe (but don’t quote me on that). I would do some research on that.
@@BurnseysRT Yeah my hypothesis is the stock stud length is 33mm, and I have some 10mm spacers kicking around here that I use for test fittings, so if I can safely bolt on my stock wheels with the 10mm spacer behind them, then I should hypothetically be safe to cut the 6mm off the stud that would be protruding from the 1 inch spacer so I could still keep my stock studs for my stock wheels in the winter time, but bolt on my summers with the 1 inch spacer - there was a lot of math involved, and my head hurts, but I have my fingers crossed that this'll work otherwise I'm back to hunting wheels lol
For sure!!! Wish I would been able to get out in the snow and drive in it a bit but it was buried. It will interesting if I get in real snow. These tires are on their 5th season and more than likely their last.
Absolutely. I did put anti seize on the fronts so I am hoping the come off better. Regardless it’s only two I’ll have to remove which sounds good to me. Haha
Surprising not really at all. I was expecting the rear end to want to fishtail too easily or seem noticeable in the rain or snow but I can’t really tell. Seems fine at highway speeds too. I am sure if I was in a panic or emergency situation the rear end might fishtail but but it seems 100% normal under normal driving.
