I agree 100% with the change up for the defense!!! Move them around and I would rather see someone else other then smith!!! Smith is terrible!!

I think the reason Holtz stays on the 4th line is his difficulty in winning one on one battles in the O zone. That said, Ruff needs to pair Holtz with Meier. The pair seemed to have some chemistry with Meier as a play maker and Holtz the finisher in the slot. Meier, McCleod, Holtz would be an interesting lineup. Danny, Isn't it so strange how Ruff refuses to change D partners but changes forward lines ad nauseum?

Agreed. Holtz struggles with board battles and winning those 50/50 pucks. But with the injuries putting him on the top line with Timo could be a good test. Especially now with Nico and Jack out. Ruff def is a strange one lol. Last year the method to his madness worked. Being 7-4-1 is a good thing knowing the defense has been pretty bad overall. Let’s hope will juggle the D pairings

Time to refocus on Ruff. He’s been given a free pass, based on last year’s performance. This WAS NOT the work, of Lindy Ruff: it was an amalgam of NEW coaches. This group, STILL cannot get up, to play a full 60 minute game. It’s the HEAD COACHES responsibility, to correct that. This.team.SUCKS so far…
