The Zippi Sweeper has commercials on TV now that make it look like it gets right up into the corners and baseboards. I remembered your review and just shook my head. Thank you for showing the truth in action on these products, James
@@tanmaz8006 I mean... I don't think that's so bad? He's still donating it cause he's probably not gonna use it. At the end of the day, this IS his job, he (usually) buys and reviews things, I think it's only fair that he gets to write it off at the end of the year.
@@tanmaz8006don’t think you know how tax write offs work dawg. These are already write offs and you can’t write it off twice so he’s donating them just to be less wasteful. Write offs kinda suck and maybe offset 1/4 of the original money you spent but they are better than nothing lol
I'm glad you are numbering these reviews, because in a few generations, this will be the primary database of consumer information for the entire Human Empire.
@@ValleyOakPaper ... or the kings of ridiculous merchandising: Ferrari - but then it would be 2,000, not 200 ;) (BTW - my grandparents had a genuine Peugeot coffee grinder - the manual, hand-cranked one, from the first half of the 20th century. Yeah, Peugeot used to make kitchen utensils too...)
I have a magnetic paper towel holder that sticks to the side of my fridge, out of sight of anyone but me. It cost $5. It's still interesting to see these gadgets, though.
One of the many things I've learned from this channel is that apparently making ice cubes is a very, very difficult thing & we're all doing it wrong. Thank goodness these makers know how to help us out on the ice cube front!!!
The mini toaster oven is so cute, but I can't imagine it taking up counter space, as its size makes it almost useless. It reminds me of my "Suzy Homemaker" (a line of working kitchen toys in the 1960's) oven, without the child-lock to prevent burns. Love your reviews, James!
It seems more like something for single people that don't make any elaborate dishes, or maybe something to take in a small camper, or if you use hotels a lot while driving instead of flying. It's absolutely not suited for a family, but if it has enough power to cook meat...that portion is enough for one meal when added to potatoes etc. that you would cook on the side.
Ninja Thristi - great for families who like fizzy or flavored water. We've had ours since they came out and still use it daily. Everyone has their favorite drinks. I like not having to lug all the drinks from the store and not wasting all the plastic bottles.
Hey, James! Great review! Your reviews are so Wal documented the manufacturer must be tempted to use your reviews as promo videos About the plastic ice maker tray warping: some kitchen gadgets need to be assembled right away after being washed and dried in order not to loose their shape. I used to encounter that same problem with those plastic kitchen gadgets sold in T-Parties...
for the ice try, let it sit in warm water upside down so it only warms the sides, and then place one tray in and let it cool slowly to retain, and maintain the original shape. I've ruined lots of plastic bowls and such with just hot water, but I've learned to fix most of them majority of the time.
always appreciate these update videos since as much as the review is helpful, the fact that you are/ are not using that product anymore is equally as important. if I know there's a product you've been using for a year I will consider getting it since it's held up for that long
My phone died a year ago and I lost all my subscriptions to RU-vid I kept trying to think there is a cool bald guy that did reviews any sweet golden retrievers but I couldn't remember what the channel is called. You know the ADHD brain. Now here you are! I can subscribe to you again. 🥳🥳
Every-single-video of the "yearly update".... ALWAYS has to be someone saying this. 🥴 And then another couple hundred regurgitating the exact same comment.. allllll thru the comments. 😔 We get it.... time flies fast or whatever. No need for the SPAM flooding of he obvious on every update video . Dont be a sheeple
@IceTTom wow! I've never said that before - it's so cute you get that triggered by it though. Do you need to talk? Need a hug?? Don't stress over a yt comment. It's ok.
@@IceTTom💀 getting so triggered by comments, maybe don’t be online if u can’t handle folks “regurgitating” comments since… it’s the internet after all bozo
I have both that ice maker and the ice cube trays. The trays are fantastic, but the ice maker doesn't get used anymore because I got tired of cleaning it. It's pretty inconvenient to clean when they didn't put in a drain to let unused water out.
It doesn’t have a drain plug in the bottom? Mine does. It’s also a Frigidaire, but mine is a couple of years older, so it looks a little different. We still use ours daily.
@James :: dude we've been watching you since the beginning of this channel (pretty much!) and mannnnnnnn does time seem to fly faster when you post these update videos and the NUMBER lol!! Keep it going man this household loves ya! 🙌🏽✊🏽🤙🏽
I love your reviews brotha. There have been products I was thinking of buying, then saw a review from you. Thank goodness, I didn't buy them. I would have wasted my money. So you saved me.
8:33 I heard you upgrade an ice maker I saw on IG story. Can't wait for you to test it out I think that's going to be a favor for the next year summer hotness. Keep up the great work.
I have that exact model of ice maker. It’s been in continuous operation for about 2 years, it struggles when it gets really hot but otherwise it works well. My only complaint is that the water reservoir is really small.
I got an Easy Release ice cube tray because of your review. Im using all the time and it holds up well. Once I overfilled and one of the spikes froze into the cube and broke off. I chalk it up to user error. Despite the broken spike it's still functioning well, would buy again.
I bought the easy release ice cube tray based on your view. I also think that it works great. I do miss my automatic ice maker, but until I get it repaired, the easy release it is.
We got the Frigidaire ice maker when we bought our house (didn't have the funds for a new fridge) we ended up keeping/using it for over 2 years. Its at my in laws house still in use now
My mom and I each had one of those and we loved it. We used it all the time. I don’t use it much anymore because I’m diabetic and I stay away from grapefruits and oranges.
The paper towel dispenser is amazing. We use Bounty and have learned to not get the gigantic rolls. The diameter is too big. But then with pets we can snag a gigantic roll, glean up whatever mess the dogs and cats have made. After about 20-30 of the select a size before we just put it back in the drawer to be next in the rotation to go into the paper towel dispenser.
The Ninja Thirsti would have been a perfect Sodastream companion if it used the same canisters and syrup pods.. who knows, maybe someone will sell empty Ninja Thirsty flavor pods for you to fill up yourself.
The ice tray. Leave the tray in the part that’s warped and hit it with a hair dryer. If it doesn’t take it out then use the hair dryer again and pull the warped side out when it’s heated then pour some cold water on it and it should hold the new shape. Good luck.
I really enjoy your reviews and follow ups. I keep thinking I should buy a Ninja Thirsti but then I see the price and decide I can wait. LOL Maybe one day.
The portable washers that you see lately all take a power source. That’s ok if you’re traveling and staying somewhere like a hotel. If you’re camping or if there’s something like a hurricane that takes the power out, they’re not ok. The hand crank portable washers are better for those situations. You can’t wash much, but at least you can get clean undies with it!
James please review the Frigidaire Gallery ice maker I bought two from Walmart and they both started wining within the week one quit the others still making ice but I am curious if they all do that. Thanks, James for the great reviews!
Do you still have that washing machine? I could really use it while travelling! Thank you for posting these! Nice to know what lasts and what does not.
The Ninja thirsti i think that the small choice of flavors is the biggest problem. If you are used to drink coke pepsi 7up you ended up craving those . Maybe just stick with a soda stream for this reason.
I managed to break my easy release ice cube tray. I had a stuck ice cube, and pushed as hard as I could on one particular cube, and uh. It cracked. Still works fine, I just have three cubes that stay perpetually frozen now. Doesn't impact function otherwise.
Hi James! Do you ask the people you donate the items to how it went after? Maybe their experience after the gifting would make for a good addition to the info in the video.
Those interesting one function food devices that seem, idk, fun or whimsical, I always judge by how they might do to buy for one use at a party, the limits.
My brother used a camping washing machine for 2 years. It was a washer with a spin dry barrel. It could hold about 3 jeans in the wash, had powered drain and then the small spin barrel could hold about one jean. And would "dry" in about 2 minutes. It was really neat. I used it. But it doesn't collapse.
@@Okurka. Do you not clean any of your other clothes because you take showers? Obviously the answer is no, because those clothes will eventually get dirty over time regardless if you wear them. Just because jeans use a heavier fabric that can be go longer and be worn more between washes doesn't mean you NEVER need to wash it. "I guess people magically stopped taking showers?" It's hard to believe that you thought you were making some kind of salient point. Do you shower with your jeans on? If it's a hot day, your jeans are gonna get sweaty regardless of if you take a shower afterwards or not and are gonna need to be washed, so what the hell are you even talking about? Not to mention even without overt sweating people are constantly shedding dead skin cells and oils. Yeah you can do it less often if you're not active and live in a cooler climate, but any piece of clothing is going to need to be cleaned eventually. "Washing your jeans more infrequently" to maintain their appearance is a far, far, far cry from "you NEVER need to wash your jeans."
I could have Really used that dryer this last weekend. I went to the sacred acres festival in Ninilchik Alaska. It is a fundraiser to stop unsustainable bottom trawling fisheries in the state. I got there before the rain and pulled out my tent. Before it even hit the ground the drops startedand it was datk. Early the next morning, I got up, put on my sneakers to go use the facilities and stepped in about a ½ gallon sized puddle of water. . . . I was still in my tent! So, I changed my socks and grabbed my Xtratufs. Apperently, every time I opened the truck topper, it drained the rain on it into my boot. (🙄why me.) So, the only thing left to where were my sandals. Its 45 to 55 degrees out. Next year I'm bringing more lights, more propane for the heater, my boots are traveling in a water proof bag and I'm getting wool socks, hopefully in neon colors.
The Ninja Thirsty? Really offends me as a Soda Stream user. That expensive machine, expensive CO2, expensive flavors... And you have to stir the drink? I use dry ice to refill the canisters for 1/4 the price of exchanges. The flavor I use is usually just plain water, or add some lemon, or if i want sweet i use some shaved ice syrup concentrate that you just add to simple syrup which is right 1:1 sugar water.
I meant to leave a comment on your previous video, since I saw it in your hand. Can you do an external mic review? Like you did with the dash cam review. Maybe some Temu, Amazon and the one that you use? Please and thank you.
I want to know how much you paid for that Easy-Bake Oven at the end? I'd say it's pretty loud for a toaster oven I think you could have gotten a lot better deal with the Easy Bake Oven they cell in the children's toy aisle
The toaster... just use an AirFryer oven. The result is WAY better. Even on my 35 USD oven (I'm from Brazil, so they're cheaper here... and yes, it's a very basic model with tons of flaws)
Glad you donate things you no longer use James. Who knows, maybe you will have inspired someone who gets one of these donated items to have a better life or create a YT channel of their own and re-review Reviewed items LOL😊👍👍
They are difficult to keep clean and require constant cleaning. Internal parts that you can't reach and there is no way to clean them entirely. Black dots of mold (?) still come out into the ice holder even after several cleaning cycles. Also noisy. We got rid of ours.
