This def is intended, there are traits to boost “petrificas totalus’s damage. Trolls are the only ones that don’t have an insta kill with that spell, so In order to insta kill you need to stack the trait

Petrificus Totalus doesn't necessarily require the victim to be unaware, lorewise, so it's immersion breaking to "fix" this non glitch, whether intended or not. Why wouldn't you be able to damage, make unconscious, or otherwise destroy a creature under the effects of your own imperius curse? If they have been cursed to ignore you in combat, then there's literally no reason to change this and I would argue it is working as intended.

It should be an actual spell not some sneak attack move… really hate that Petrificus Totalus and Stupify are just locked to sneaking and counter attacks also Npcs get Expulso and Reducto would be nice to have these spells too considering we only really get 4 proper combat spells Incendio Confringo Bombarda and Expelliarmus

@@sirgaffo It would be great to have access to the spells some of the enemies cast like Reducto. And while I agree it would be nice to use Stupify and Petrificus Totalus outside of countering and stealth, I think the devs did well working within the confines of a game structured for this genre. To be fair, you already have to flip through pages of spells to have access to the majority of the ones you know. When going up against multiple wizards it makes sense to counter with Stupify to give yourself time to deal with another target. And Petrificus Totalus makes a lot of sense when used in a stealth scenario.

@@Axan436 I agree, it’s already a bit cumbersome to use the spell sets due to the sheer number of spells. I would love to see voice recognition employed in this game, and any other Wizarding World games - especially if combined with a ‘wand’ for duelling. Can you imagine just being able to shout spells at enemies?! 😂

Curses + avada kedavra perk already makes you into a god so I wouldn’t worry about this being patched 😂 can literally one shot kill like 4 enemies automatically upon starting combat

I think this is part of the allure of the Imperius Curse. I mean, if I was a particularly sadistic Dark wizard, I would cast _Imperio_ on my enemy, walk casually up to them, put the tip of my wand against any part of their body, and then cast either _Incendio_ or _Diffindo_ .

I don't think it is a secret or not intended as he said because it seems to only happen if it's the last enemy that your facing when you use imperio it might be a quicker way to kill that enemy rather then waiting till the effects of imperio wears off.

Use herbology 3 on all your gear. Lmao a single mandrake can defeat hordes of enemies. It feels even more powerful than Avada Kedavara. As if they needed something more op than that. Herbology 3 on all gear and spaming down plants it's definitely the best strategy because you don't have to try at all and you can use Avada Kadavara on bosses or as a last resort.

If you use levioso on a dugbog as it is readying its tongue attack, it will be suspended in the air and you can use diffindo to insta-kill it

It would only make sense, since you can't cast petrificus totalus as an actual spell, they may aswell let you do this. Plus, there's already an insta kill in the game that you can use in any combat situation, not just when there's one enemy left.

It works only if you cast Imperius on a lone target, somehow the game consider the cursed enemy as an unaware enemy, like in stealth.

You can't use petrificus totalus in combat. What you daw in the video was the glacious freezing spell. As long as you are sneaky and hidden in stealth you can use the petrificus totalus spell. However if you are seen then you have to fight normally.

Mandrake is the most op when paired with herbology 3 and you got the room of requirement upgrade for it. Insta kill hordes of enemies and deal devastating damage to bosses and trolls. Not to mention they are stunned after.

I don't think they care that much. I mean they literally gave us the killing curse and ways to speed up cool down times. I thought the whole idea was to be OP. Plus yeah trolls suck but they're not too bad. I like the combat in game. Shit even Avada Kedavra aside, there are still way easier ways to kill an enemy . Combos+successful stupefy and dodges. CHINESE CHOMPING CABAGES+BUFFS
