Hello High Season Co. I really enjoyed your informative and knowledgeable content! I have a question regarding the 12 advance posts you mentioned. Are they meant to be posted all in one day?
Hi! Thanks so much for the kind words. :) Re the 12 advanced posts, you could do all in one day but it might not receive much engagement, so we'd suggest to do 1-3 posts per day until you hit the 12 to let the engagement slowly grow - C
So welcome! It all depends how dramatic the change of niches are, if you're referring to converting an existing account. There's definitely a lot more work involved in converting an account but if you have a decent enough following then it could be worth it - C
Big takeaway for me! I let my social media accounts die. I am going to use your strategies to start up again slowly. I followed you on IG and will use your pillar-building concepts. I do not have any of the pillars because I did not know how to make reels, carousels, etc. basically a restart beginner, ugh! And I am in my 70's.
Good for you, Candace! It's never too late to start. There's a lot to learn but we should have covered everything you'd need to know on the channel. Feel free to shoot us a DM any time with your questions, happy to help guide you in your journey :) - C
Same here 🤣 I'm starting a boutique on Instagram and it's been a little difficult for me, I've had to learn about photography, how to make videos, how to edit🤪. I only have 26 followers and I hope everything improves over time.
Great video. Thanks! Starting my new account for my business, I was prepared for the fact that I will have little to no traction at the beginning, but it gets hard 😅. Assuming my content is valuable and my feed is "bingeable", is there usually a time frame where a new accouny starts getting traction? Thank you
Thanks so much for the kind words! Congrats on the new account! There's no real timeline as far as when traction will begin. The more you post and the more you engage with others, the better chance you have of moving the needle sooner. Another way to push it forward faster is to use ads to boost some posts and get some more engagement. Keep going! - C
Thank you for the helpful tips!! i have to rewatch the video again to implement all those tips you guys gave. and i like the chemistry between you two.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. for sure u gonna have lots of high quality subscriber and followers soon for putting high quality contents like this. kudos
Hi! When you're on your newsfeed, it's on the top right. Any DMs will be there and they appear in a similar way to emails (ie they're in bold if they're unread). The link in your bio is the only link on your profile page, and it's underneath all of your bio information. Hope that helps! - C
Thank you for all the useful information! I'm really struggling with whether I should post about both my coaching business and occasional life updates. I feel like as a coach, you want to be relatable, and I feel like posting 'regular' things will help form a bond with my audience. However, I also understand why people keep the two separate...
Hi Mary, our pleasure! You could try testing - post some life updates and see how people respond to the content. If it's positive then keep it coming, if not then at least you know. Try a number of posts, too, you can't judge off just one - C
I noticed that when I don’t include hashtags, my posts/reels tend to do way better, than with hashtags. I tried 30, I tried 5, I tried none. Makes me wonder if hashtags are dying (at least for food blogging). 🤔
That's a cool observation, and if that's what you're finding then stick with it. Mosseri mentioned that hashtags don't have the same value as they used to, personally I've never heard that posts do better with zero hashtags but really it's about whatever does best on your specific account - C
as an artist is it too vague to think the audience I would assume I would be aiming for is people who like original art and collecting original art and who like watching artists's process?
That can work for sure, but it's way too broad if you're doing ads, however it'd be a good start for organic engagement. As you go, you can slowly refine it. You may find a very niche demographic tends to gravitate towards your work so then you can cater to them more and more - C
That's fair, it's been a little rougher lately with the algorithm. I'd focus more on servicing the community you have, deliver as much value as possible and produce shareable content that your audience would share and then growth should come from that - C
Thank you so much! I have a question: I started my account years ago and i got a lot of engagement. Then I changed my style 3-4 times and every time I changed my style, I deleted all my previous artwork. I did this several times (5-6 times), that every time I deleted all my previous artworks and started over. Most followers were gained in the beginning. Now my engagement is awful although I post daily, it's getting worse and worse. My concern of starting new account is that it'll be hard in the beginning as well. I might not get any view or 0 followers for a while. What do you suggest in this case? I would love to start over, but not sure if it's the best strategy. Thank you!
Hi, that sounds like it makes sense. Removing all the posts would confuse followers and stop them from engaging. If you're able to find a style to stick with and keep the posts up, you could keep going on your existing account. You may as well try with a fresh account and see how it goes, it's essentially equally difficult than with an existing account that's somewhat negatively affected in the algorithm. Hope that helps! - C
Great video as usual. Your content is always informative and easy to follow. Definitely need to rewatch and implement some of these idea. Thank you for sharing
Thank you so much! That's so cool to hear, really appreciate it and we're stoked you're getting value from it - that's why we do it! Thanks for watching, appreciate you - C
Are you suggesting a new account should add 12 posts total (reels, carousels, static posts) or 12 each to have them up before you pull in profile views? Is more always better when preloading an account before marketing harder in Stories?
Hi Erin, we're saying 12 posts total before you engage. More is better for sure regardless. Just think about if an account with nothing on it engaged with you - there's almost no chance you're going to follow them, because you don't really know what they're about or what their posts are going to be like. Give yourself the best chance to win by posting first, go hard on Stories and engagement etc. Hope that helps - C
Got a question on trending music. I keep seeing the same music on video after video, and I have a reaction now that if I hear the first bars of an overly familiar song, I skip the reel regardless of quality or subject. Not sure how to follow trends when they are done to death.
Hi Matthew, great question. I imagine not everyone would feel the same way (tbh I agree with you, I don't like hearing the same thing over and over), so it's not always an issue for every IG user. That said, try to jump on the trends early to maximize your value and reach from it and move onto the next one. - C
I'm so glad I found this channel because it's definitely helpful, so thank you. My question is would it be OK to use my personal Instagram page to drive people to my professional Instagram page so that I can use all the trendy music that is available? Or would it be better to change my business page to a Creator page? My business is casual apparel.
Hey 🙂! Question…is it important to use an aged e-mail (mim. 2-3 weeks old) when open a new account? And what about open a new account on a phone where you already have one or more accounts on your Instagram app? I‘ve heard all of this makes it difficult to grow? Thank you 🙂🙏
Hi Johanna! There's no need to use an older email for a new IG account, and no need to worry about opening a new IG account on a phone that's logged into other IG accounts. However you do it, it doesn't affect it :) Thanks for watching! - C
How do you know for certain that it was the change to a Professional account? We've never heard of anything like that nor experienced it for any of our clients - C
Hi guys. Awesome tips. Question. Can I change a personal existing account on Instagram to business/creator account ? I still have a separate personal account. Thanks. ❤
You can totally advertise to get followers! Just make sure that you have enough content on the page to give people enough value that they'd want to follow. No issues there at all - C
I created a new account a month ago. The content of my account is drawing and everything related to drawing, but my followers are not increasing Can you help?
Hi, I really enjoy your videos. I find them very helpful. I am running into an issue. I am unable to figure out on my own. I watched so many RU-vid videos and I am unable to resolve my issue on Instagram not being able to run ads due to not being the full admin on the Facebook account I was previously using. I deleted the Facebook account and I’m trying to run my own ads. Will you guys please help me with this🙏
Hi, thanks for the kind words! Are you an admin on the Facebook page attached to your Instagram account? Or is there no FB page? There would need to be a Facebook page attached to your IG to run ads, and then a FB ads account - C
Hey there you thank you so much for sharing these tips I’m actually a content creator myself I have Had an instagram account for my daughter as a mini influencer/ digital creat she has gained a few new follow however I feel like stuck I feel like she has ver good content but it seem like she does get much engagement in her post and reels I would really love for her account to grow is there anything you can recommend?
Hi Angelica, thanks for the kind words! That's great that your daughter is doing awesome, too. First steps would be to follow the tips in this video, especially ads if you have the budget, but try things like collaborating with theme accounts and others in her niche, and to not just stick to IG and build a following on other platforms to push traffic to the others. :) - C
Hi love the video🙏🏽, but I’ve created a new Instagram page for motivational reels ,do u think paying for Instagram ads can mess up a organic audience or it shouldn’t ?
Hi, you can get those 9-12 posts out ASAP really, the account just needs to have content before you start engaging with others to increase the chance of retaining them as a follower - C
Great content! I'm starting an Instagram theme page for motivation. I have everything ready posts, reels. But I didn't upload anything yet. I have 0 followers 0 following. Do you recommend me to pay for a shoutout when I have 0 followers or is there any different way?
Thank you! So you'd want to have at least 12 posts up before attempting to bring any traffic. If you paid for a shout out with 0 posts and 0 followers, it's very unlikely anybody will follow you - they won't know who you are or what you're going to post about. Best bet is to get the account filled with content and then move from there. - C
I had created an account 4 years ago but didn't post anything. That account is active, can i use that same now for professional page ?? Will i be able to get max reach with that ?
You can certainly do that - not sure how it'll go, haven't heard of that specific set of circumstances before but it's worth a try if there's no issues with the account - C
@@Highseasonco Actually I saved the username and wanted to use that for professional account now. But at the same time I'm afraid if It will grow! Account was active throughout, I was liking and saving posts but I didn't post anything. I have one more question: how to get first 1000 followers when starting from 0?? Should I buy or follow random people? I don't think if I start following with 0 followers, I will have good impact on people and they might not follow me back! Please help ❤
@@SK-xg2sp Gotchu! OK here's a video for the second question: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HKc6SgVbptk.html. Definitely don't buy followers - followers aren't even as important as they used to be. :) - C
Hi! You'd want to ensure that your first 12 posts would cover all of the different aspects of your business (or whatever your account represents). Think of it from a prospective follower/customer - what would they want to see if they needed to get a snapshot of what you do? Whether it's your products, services, offerings, hours, sales/promos, just give them everything they need! - C
Idk what I’m doing wrong I’m trying to grow my sons account. I guess I want my audience to be moms but. Idk what to exactly post I think my problem is captions? Im using trending sounds but getting very low views so im he has 200 followers what sounds should I use what’s the number of user who already used that sound
Hi Femia, it could be the captions, you'd want to test a few things to see what your audience responds best to and then lean into that. You could try a sound with 50k to 100k uses, and then start testing different use levels and see what the response is. When you're at the stage you're at, thee best thing you can do is just test. - C
@@femian4647 Everything is worth testing to see what works for you. Paid ads are 100% worth it, they also require testing as far as the creative and target audience, but that's the best way to guarantee reach - C
you teach people about social media by the youtube video with a pretty low sound quality what is crucial a good quality content. One speaker is sounding much louder and a male I had to suffer to even hear
I just don’t get instagram.. I see people with fake pages have followers I’m trying to make an actually personal profile & it’s like nobody wants to follow me.. & I’m far from ugly so you’d think people follow people because they look nice but that’s not the case… I just don’t get it
@@nerdmommy7114 No problem! We recently did a whole video with a free downloadable template to create your own Social Media strategy, including content pillars: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-d-nDgTm82As.html - C
Hi, we just reviewed the video and I can hear myself talk perfectly. Was there a specific segment where it was tough to hear? Unfortunately RU-vid doesn't let you do much after the fact to edit anything so there wouldn't be anything we could do regardless, but if there was an error it might be something we could avoid in future - C
