By 16 Jul 2023, Canada will make available 10,000 3-yr open work permits for US H-1B visa holders. No LMIA (Labor Market Impact Assessment) and job offer required. OWP means that you can work for any Canadian employer. You can bring your family members from US to Canada. After working 1 year in Canada, there are pathways for Canadian PR.
@@YudiJ People were camping out on Jul 16, waiting for the website to come Live. The smart ones got all their documents ready to file. For some India nationals (working in prioritized STEM occupations), instead of waiting for 10+ years for employment based (EB2, EB3) green cards in USA, they can get PR in Canada less than 2 years. Six months of experience either in Canada or aboard is required to file Express Entry for the 82 prioritized occupations.
Hi Yudi, I got admits from the USA and UK for a master's program in Mechanical Engineering. What would you suggest to consider which country to pursue my master's? I'm also considering Germany, the language barrier is the problem for me. Would love to get your suggestion. Love your videos.
USA immigration is tough, Germany and UK aren't too bad, but it's getting bad. Less so for Germany. German is a fun language to learn, I'd atleast consider it.
Hey Yudi, Let me give you a viral and most thought topic amongst techies in India. Topic : If my h1b is picked ? Is it worth leaving a high paying job in India. People are talking about purchase power parity. They say numbers like if you earn 40 Lakhs per annum In India , it is equal to 150$k per annum in USA. Can you throw some light here ?
Btw According to PPP, a salary of INR 50L in India is equivalent to USD 227K in United States. So ya, its not a bad idea and more than what it is been stated.
These PPP numbers are misleading. The financial influencers on RU-vid have made it so simple. It is not that simple. US is so big. Which location in US is it compared with? For example, There is a huge different between living in Bay Area and somewhere in Virginia. Furthermore, saving factor is another aspect which no one considers.
@@neerajmittal6060 I agree with you. This particular ppp can say what it means in India having 50L is equivalent to amount of dollars to US. Likewise engineer would earn 200k on states like NY whereas around 100 to 120K in states like Texas. So calculation varies, but you get an idea. That's it.
Changed the title - hope that is more appropriate. Sorry that it is annoying. Assuming you have already unsubscribed but still wanted to let you know that I take feedback seriously.
Hello Yudi My current H1B expires on Sep 2023. My company is taking its sweet time with the extension process, I am pretty sure they will file in end of July or so. So I asked them if I could apply for premium processing but they said they do not agree to it. They told me that I will be getting a 240 days cap gap where in i can still work even when my H1B extension petition is with USCIS. Now my question is I am desperate to change my job , can i change during those 240 days cap gap? will there be an issue? I couldnt ask this to my company's immigration team so posting here. Any lawyer that you could suggest also works. Thank you🙏
@@piyushborude6440 You are misinformed. I am not spreading rumours. INDIANS HAVE OVER 100 YEARS WAIT TIME TO GET GREEN CARD. Which is impossible as till the time your Priority date becomes current, you are gonna be dead. You cannot get a gc in 15 years or even 50 years unless you are some really talented individual who has done some groundbreaking research. PERIOD
