For stability, maybe try use a bamboo stake (then sell them in the garden sections for cheap) and stick it in the middle of moss pole connection and then connect it to the bottom moss pole

I love the mix of speeds as far as showing us your planty chores - for instance the sped up footage of the pot filling but with the asmr-ish scooping sounds was genius 😂 and as far as moss poles, or potting, I personally don’t mind watching/listening to the whole process. I like the longer videos, you’re a lot more interesting, even just ‘rambling’ talking, than other plant channels tbh

I’m so happy you made this video! I am a big fan of Amydrium and for the life in me can’t figure out why more people aren’t talking about them! I have several and your care advice seems spot on. I have noticed that they seem to appreciate higher temperatures and do much better in the summer than the winter in my experience.

Rewatching this as I’ve just bought this plant. And you’re absolutely right, there is very little information about it online and hardly any videos on youtube. How is it growing for you now? Mine is still just a baby without any fenestrations, but I’m excited for it to grow! ☺️

I prefer watching the plant chores in real time. Just like you said, it keeps me company while I'm working on my plants. Listening to you chat it up is calming background noise and easier to glance at the screen and still see what you're doing.

Love your videos. Amydrium m. Silver seems to be having a moment rn. I've had one from a baby plant since 2021 I think. It also put out really long runners for me. It really needed more light and definitely support for vertical growing, as you said. Currently, I have mine growing up a piece of wood and it's started producing axillary buds (but at the outside of the older leaf) in many places. I had wrapped the long runner around the wood and perhaps it's behaving like this now because it is Spring here and the light and temp are better. Planning to create a moss pole for this in the next few weeks to hopefully enhance this burst of growth. Beautiful, unusual plant. Really want to see what it does as it matures. Thanks for this really helpful video - very little online about Amydrium.

I imported my amydrium medium silver on a whim last July/august. Definitely not much information out there on them. I attached mine to a New Zealand tree fern pole and it started attaching fairly quickly and put out two big beautiful leaves and then did mostly nothing all fall/winter. I feel like your observations are on par - lots of light, something to climb and I think warmer temps are beneficial too but high humidity isn’t as important

Your hairstyle, especially your braids are so cute Fern!☺️ Please keep your videos style! I like it when you narrate during your plant chores. And you say something, my my cardiovascular system is also expandable. I‘m into powerlifting 🏋🏻‍♀️ Maybe you could attach a thin tube from the hardware store or a pole (for tomatoes to climb) to the back of your moss pole? That's how I saw it on Roots Leaves Reads yt canal! I also got a tube from the hardware store inside of one moss pole. It might become difficult if I expand it. However, I also used a pvc sheet for the back, as suggested by Sydneyplantguy! more precisely I did it like Plants Down Under, also yt. But this is a bit more complicated with the expansion, I guess. So far my plants haven't grown so fast that I need one. Hugs from Germany, amy
