professor i have a question... is there any reason one shouldn't use all-purpose cleaner to wipe down dried Pink Stuff paste? it feels like a "kill two birds with one wipe" situation but... chemicals?
@everybodylovesducksauce7158 ...I recommend rinsing them in White Vinegar ,in the Rinse Cycle.. this removes odors, soap residue and sanitize them. ( I took the liberty of replying, lol. )
I am a mental health counselor. I have shared this channel with all of my patients in my practice. Your energy and teaching style are beautiful. Thank you for this important content!
I pulled out my side by side fridge with all the bells, whistles and water dispenser and opted for a standard fridge. I didn’t like the taste of the water or ice cubes no matter how often the filter was changed, hated continuously cleaning the water spots from the dispenser and now couldn’t be more happy!
I MUST say… you ARE the absolute BEST NO-NONSENSE cleaner on OooTube ever. You are “heaven sent “!! Such a PRACTICAL, simple approach to get it cleaned up and keep it cleaned up! Thank you!!!!!
I wipe down the interior of the microwave every time it's used. The interior and door are covered in steam and think about it, if you grab your food and close up the nuker it's warm, moist and dark. This leads to funky smells. I use a paper towel and I find that the steam loosens up any spills.
Your videos are the best!! You offer common sense, clarity, and encouragement. Also for many people who are visual learners, you demonstrate the skills very effectively. Great job!!🎉🎉
Watched this before an appt today and got myself motivated to dive in before I had to leave. My favourite is how clean my fridge is….I keep opening up and enjoy the view! lol. The first of every month I have a list of kitchen to dos…. Makes it much easier to stay on top of the uglies. 😉 Enjoy all your videos and have used MANY of your tips. Thank you.
Here’s what I do . clean your countertops & appliances then shine a flashlight on what you just cleaned and you will see the stuff you missed . Works for you floor too .Always hang your towel so they dry that way they wont start smelling .change your towel and dish rag everyday
Always great tips! We recently moved and inherited an older gas stove… Golly I look forward to the day I can replace it with an electric flat top again. This thing is a monster to clean….and no matter what I do, it still isn’t clean to my standards. Same with ice and water dispensing fridge…. I love a pristine clean kitchen, this is driving me nuts! Your tips have been overall very helpful, much appreciated, thank you!! 👍🏻👍🏻
... I read your Comment.. and smiled... because I detest Modern cook tops, and Stoves. ..lol. I have a Vintage Stove and I prefer the time it takes to clean it, over the " pilotless Ignition " and the way things made in the last 20 years ,are not meant to last. Thete was a time when Real Craftmanship and Products were designed and built to last. My Stove is a 1938 Kenmore. 42 " wide. Locking controls for the burners. ( Which is something that shouldn't have ever went away) .. Has hinged Burner Covers. ..can be closed when needed . It's not " fancy " but I'm okay with that... Other people like the New Stoves.. but most of them are not built to last ...same with the " $3,000 Refrigerators " ...No one really needs all that Electronic stuff.... just more things to " break down ", lol..
@@texasstardust6010 Great quality is hard to find . Even the older washers . The newer ones save water , that I can agree on , but it doesn't get the clothes clean . I use it in bulky setting to have enough water and double rinse . ( A Whirlpool , a lot of complaints with those . )
That's interesting. As someone who loves to cook, I MUCH prefer a gas stove and wish I didn't have the electric cooktop I currently have to deal with. I love my grandmother's 1940s gas stove/oven combo most of all. We clean it all the time but it definitely looks its age. 😊
I like to use my DIY vinegar mix which is 1 cup Vinegar 1 cup water and a few drops of Dawn dish soap in a spray bottle. I like to use one microfiber towel to clean and one to dry and buff the surface.😃
@jeffacafe I don't know if that vinegar mix leaves a vinegar smell, but citrus vinegar cleaner I make smells good and because it doesn't smell like vinegar, I can use it as often and whenever I want. I soak citrus rinds in vinegar for two weeks and then strain it. We keep a wife mouthed mason jar half filled with vinegar next to the sink for collecting peels as we eat the fruit.
Really liked this one, thank you, Brandon. The kitchen is by far my favorite place to clean, and I understand your "zen" comment about scrubbing the sink. Very interesting about the sound comparison between dirty and clean areas on the glass top stove. The interior of my microwave is polished stainless; any tips on keeping it looking like a new mirror?
BTW, how often do you clean behind & the back of your refrigerator? Is there an easy way to pull it out? And how often do you clean the freezer part of your fridge?
Good morning to you, as a Mom of 6 from Texas, with lots of cats and 2 dogs (& a messy husband, lol), I know all about the messiness of a kitchen. I am always picking up to keep it up to par! I noticed your magnets, oh my, KING OF THE HILL, that’s literally my favorite show! Plus. BUCKEES! Thank you as always for an awesome and motivating video!
Do you ever use a steam cleaner to clean the fridge? I have a handheld one I'm hoping to use, without damaging anything. My bathtub is too narrow to soak my shelves in.
Hi, great video. I do have a cleaning situation. How would you clean the ice dispenser trap door. I happened to peek up inside there, and to my surprise it was dirty on the outer side the inner side is actually inside the freezer. Hope I'm explaining well enough 😆
I didn't like the glass cook top stoves.I bought a regular electric stove because it was too much work to keep it clean.Plus I could use a canner on the regular electric stove
I found that my navy island cabinets are harder to keep clean than the white ones in the rest of the kitchen. Like black cars, it shows every speck of dust and dirt and water spots are more apparent. How long does it take you to complete the weekly checklist?
@@thebusybees2006 I usually replace them about every 1/2 months depending on how they are holding up. I do make sure to always rinse them and place them standing up so they dry out properly. I have a full video breaking down the difference between the two and where and when I like to use them here - Scrub Daddy VS Scrub Mommy (What’s the difference?) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xcLsT79etJU.html
Is there a way that we can clean inside of a toaster very well i know they have the trays at the bottom but there is still some gunk left behind on the other sides and stuff and we cant properly reach unless flip the toaster over and smack it to get some debris out
What are some ideas for storing onions. Cut up onions. For example, I keep salad ingredients preped so we can have a salad at any time. I put all the different veggies in seperate containers cause things go bad at different times. Example, Cuks go bad first. So I keep red onions cut up and its such a struggle. I have to put the chopped onions in 3 sandwich baggies twisted tight and jammed in a container with a rubber seal. If not the fridge smells of onions so bad when you pen the fridge door the kitchen will smell of onions. Love eating onions. Hate smelling them everytime we open the fridge door.
This may or may not be a good idea for salads specifically, but I do this for cooking. What I do with my onions is I chop up a bunch, throw them into a Zip-Lock freezer bag and into the freezer. I find they don’t clump together too much and they’re super convenient for cooking. I’m sure they’d defrost rather quickly too when you need them for a salad if you remove just a couple of tablespoons and let them sit for 10ish minutes. Helps with the smell and keeps them fresh.
Am I the only person that cleans their microwave daily? It gets wiped down first and then I leave it open to dry while I do dishes n wipe down the kitchen counters. I am super sensitive to ucky smells so it has just become part of my every evening routine. 😊
So...The "in-depth" video link on cleaning a glass cooktop isn't in the description section of the video. I briefly looked through the vids on the channel and couldn't find it. Anyone know how to find it? Thanks.
Sorry about that! Here’s the video - The Secret To Cleaning Glass Cooktops Like A Pro! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aV3_Cmf6kMk.html
@@CleanThatUp Thank you Brandon! FYI, I watch your videos all the time and have implemented much of your cleaning advice into my home, got 3 DIY cleaning sprays lol. Keep up the good work! Again, a heartfelt thank you and Godspeed to you and yours.
I have found that methamphetamine really helps for keeping my kitchen clean. I'll start by cleaning the countertops and by the end of it I've pulled the stove out to clean inside the power outlet behind it. You have to clean inside the power outlets. It's a good time to clean the stove since you won't be hungry, with the meth, for a couple of days. So I do a good deep clean and most of the time I don't disassemble the stove in order to clean inside in those tough to get areas, but sometimes I do.
I saw a girl who had terrible stomach issues and couldn’t figure it out. She did EVERYTHING. She had gone on vacation and the family didn’t use Dawn Power Wash for the week. She felt 100% better. She came to the conclusion it was poisoning her. She as using it for years every day.
..Nice Video.. I just want to offer you Mom Wisdom. Lol. .. Storing Milk and Juices on the Door woll mot keep them Fresh. it is NOT cold enough to kerp those Fresh ..its fine for Condiments such as Pickles Worcestershire eyc ..but do not store Mayonnaise on the Door area .. Again, not cold enough.. I dont understand using " Microfiber Towels...its Namo plastics. ..(???) I use cotton ( Bar mops, etc ,) and non lint toweling for my cleaning. No Microfiber. Yes, I also use Paper Towels ( lint free ) ...because there are times you need to use Paper Towels .
Interesting now you needed to explain what condiments are when mayonnaise is an condiment. Also many people like myself store mayonnaise on the door and it's completely fine. He has mentioned I a few videos as to why he likes microfiber cloths. There is reusable paper towels you can buy instead of wasting paper towels
...Since he hasn't answered.. May I ask exactly what you're referring to )?) The Grates used fir cooking ( what you set your pots and pans on ). I am a former Professional Organizer/ Housekeeper.. perhaps I can offer you an answer .
@@stephanieaguirre76 ...the burner covers .. I usually start with using a Mixture of White Vinegsr, hot water ,and a bit of Blue Dawn Dish Soap ( I usually used the Dawn Professional Formula, but any Dawn product is fine ) Make sure the stove burners are completely " Off" and cooled . and I do this in sections ,with the burner covers . Using a nonscratch ckeaning pad ( I've also used an old Electic Toothbrush, works good .) ..start by letting that Mixture " sit for a few minutes " ( 10-15 minutes) after scrubbing it on. ..then you can use a wet ( not soaking wet ) Cloth of your choice to wipe them off. You can actually soak the Burner Caps in Hot Water ,with baking Soda ( or Vinegar ) and let them soak for at least 30 minutes, ..then scrub with a non scratch pad of your choosing. Let these dry.COMPLETELY before re- assembly of the Burner Csps. For the Stove Grates. Believe it or not I do use heavy duty cleaners for those because you need to .. I Lay them on a towel in a sink with very hot water and some cleaning Ammonia and a bit of Dawn dish, soap and I let them soak for at least an hour , or more.; You can also do this in a large plastic trash bag .. put them in a HEAVY DUTY tradh bag, or even a large Dishpan ... and set them outside for an hour or 2 that will keep the Ammonia smell outside . I also clean the Oven Racks with the Hot Water/ Ammonia method, put the racks in the Bag, ( outside ) add the Hot water, the Ammonia and tie it. ...leave it fir a few hours. After scrubbing.. the Racks will look like new.
