Do THIS to REMOVE FLUORIDE from Water at Home

Jennifer explains how to remove fluoride from drinking water at home. Many cities in the US intentionally add fluoride to our water supplies, a process called community water fluoridation. However, there are potential health effects associated with fluoride and not everyone wants to consume this naturally occurring mineral. The most effective methods for fluoride reduction are: reverse osmosis, water distillation, activated alumina filters and bone charcoal carbon filters.

Fluoride literally helps your teeth and bones. You are not supposed to swallow your toothpaste because there is much more F in it than in water. To be exact, in water it is 1 ppm, while in toothpaste it's over 1000 ppm pretty much in every toothpaste. The amount makes the poison. Even water can kill you if you drink too much of it, it happens usually in clubs, because people are told to drink enough and some drink too much.
@HibiscusHaven23

It’s not even so much swallowing it. The tissue in the mouth is the most absorbing tissue in the body, so brushing with fluoride is just as toxic even if you never swallow one drop.

EPA regulations are set at levels that balance public health with cost. Therefore they are not as strict as some would prefer. The fluoride debate is an entirely different conversation, as fluoride is intentionally added to some municipal drinking water in order to provide dental health benefits. Hexafluorosillic acid is not a naturally ocurring compound, it's an aluminum refining bi-product and does not exist outside of our manufacturing pipeline on this planet that we know of as of the time this comment was posted. Flourine is extremely common though, it's the 9nth element on the periodic table and naturally occuring compounds containing flourine can be good for you but not hexafluorisilic acid. The EPA was just forced to release their environmental assessment on hexafluorosilic acid by court order, there is no safe minimum dosage for chronic exposure, it always hurts you, no matter how little you have.

How long will it take for everyone to know that this type of fluoride is not what the body needs? And why, if your government knows this, why doesn't it prohibit it?

So fluoride is not added at treatment level for the old reason it's good for babies teeth ?this is a question not a statement..
@waterfilterguru
@waterfilterguru Год назад
Correct, community water fluoridation happens at the water treatment plant. The reasoning behind it is that fluoride has been proven to protect teeth from decay (not just in babies). Learn more here: www.cdc.gov/fluoridation/basics/index.htm

Sure, here's a source from the University of Nebraska: extensionpublications.unl.edu/assets/html/g1493/build/g1493.htm Distillation, along with RO, are two processes capable of removing essentially everything from water. The downside with distillation being the time and energy input required to achieve similar results.

Why not start with addressing whether or not fluoride removal is even necessary? If a person drinks distilled water in enough quantity it will absolutely kill you or anyone else for the same reason fluoride will kill you or anyone else. Early scientists searching for beneficial drug compounds said that there's no such thing as a lethal drug, there's always a lethal dose !

I use a megahome water distiller. Skip their optional charcoal filters. You clean it every once in a while with food grade citric acid (amazon). In the long run, much cheaper than a Reverse Osmosis system, but if you have a large family, maybe get a RO system. It's must me, so the megahome is just fine for my needs.
