Fortunately doors still count as line of sight blockers even when open, just make sure that these doors also block the passage you choose to take elsewhere down a hallway. I don't know if pushing the doors backwards to glitch it count as blocking line of sight also as you can shift them into odd corners and positions.
One thing about sprint that has saved me many times is walking out of the house, never run out of the house. Even after a hunt and you are scared. Many times I've had situation where me and my pal are exiting and my friend sprints just to notice the door slam shut right before us. Then I use my sprint to take cover while leaving my winded pal to get eaten.
Thank you for mentioning the "hiding spot" at 13:50. I hid there last night, electronics were off, no one was with me, and my mic was off but the ghost still captured me. I thought I did something wrong, but seeing this clip shows that the spot isn't secure or safe. Hopefully, they can fix this soon. Awesome video, thank you!
@@XgoGIVEit2U Yes that is an amazing idea, more so to observe if the does not blink alot and is super visible, which would be an Oni, stays invisible longer, which would be a Phantom, shape shifts, which is a Obake, or speeds up then slows down to normal speed as it gets closer with the breaker on which is a Jinn, If you care to see those in action you can check this out to see what I mean ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-l1y_MWSAjsQ.htmlsi=5sLWo4rE-cOoGEpG&t=900
Camp woodwind is bs for me since behind the tree in the middle with the lights there is a hiding spot but somehow a revenant walked up infront of it and just went in on me killing me (no equipments were on,wasnt talking nor making noise, didnt see me enrer
Been playing Phas for a while now but finally took the time to kind of study the game so I'm less likely to be the sacrificial lamb in the group, so glad i stumbled upon you and your vids you've helped me immensely, i love your attention to detail! I'm at a point where the other guys get to be scapegoats now 😂, that alone is worth more than gold. Thank you so much.
As a new player who just started playing with a friend this helped a lot, with the teaching me that you can hide behind counters, helping me learn the best ways to run from the ghost, etc. Thank you for helping you earned a new sub
@@Lil_P66 it helped me catch a weird Poltergeist because I was convinced it was a Demon because based on my options, it was Myling, Demon, Poltergeist. Turns out I had the MOST inactive Poltergeist ever.
Thank you! These tips will definitely help me when I play on Intermediate+. I always die on professional either by stupidity, accidental, or ghost being too powerful, and then I lose my equipment snd money and then I have to go back to amateur or intermediate to get more money for more equipment, so, thanks! I think these tips will help me
Great video! The only thing that I see missing is going more into detail on how to loop around counters, cars, and other objects (e.g. Sunny Meadows). I noticed you only mentioned looping briefly with the Deogen and just hiding behind a counter.
I can definitely make a more in depth video on looping. I wanted to go more beginner friendly with this and looping without a smudge stick is super difficult to survive
I've been a real tryhard since phasmo came out, I was still in school back then and didn't have money to buy it. Now that I bought it and saw how many things changed I decided to look up some stuff and your videos have been really helpful, thank you for making such log and educational tutorials.
once the ghost room was tanglefield's attached bathroom in the main bedroom. hunt started, my friend booked it, i got stuck in the ghost room, and for some reason (it was pronably after my friend) i survived
Hey, I just reinstalled phasmo after 8 months and ur video was very helpful because I'm always playing wit 2 friends and they were level 1000 before the reset and Im VERY new (like 6hrs) and dont know what to do when the ghost hunts
Thanks so much, glad you find it helpful! When you start learning to survive hunts the game gets easier from there and you get more money and lvl up faster!
Ive read recently that they actually changed the door mechanic, in closets anyways. If you hold the door closed, they made it to where the ghost can register that your holding it, leading to you becoming a ghost as well. Correct me if im wrong please lol
They haven't done anything recently 🤣 but joking aside closet doors are fine to hold close, it's hiding behind doors to rooms and holding them closed they got rid of. That used to be the best way to hide so they made it to where ghosts push open doors now to check it. Holding your closet hiding door closed is still fine and what I recommend
@@Lil_P66 oh cool thanks for info! I just started back up its been like 2 years I haven't played so the game feels brand new again after all the changes!
If any lights are on during the hunt they will go out when the hunt ends, you can also try to turn on or off lights during hunts and if you can't move the switch the hunt is still going on, if you can manipulate the switch then the hunt is over, then you can open the front door. The only way to open the front during a hunt is by using the monkey paw I wish to escape
So a couple things, last I knew, of course they may of changed it, but single player is always voice activation, regardless of push to talk settings, of course they could of changed it back, as I haven't really looked if that changed, I play primarily multiplayer and always voice activation. Then holding the door closed use to work, but was changed long before this video was released, ghosts can pull the door open regardless of you holding the door. You are honestly better off keeping your finger ready to click and pull the door closed then holding the mouse button down trying to hold the door closed because when the ghost pulls the door open it will take longer to react to pull the door closed again, which could be the difference between living or dying, as the door opening every second counts, all it takes is the ghost to see you for a split second and it's game over. The ghost line of sight is every direction, it sees 360 degrees, not just in front of it.
Single player is no longer always voice activated it depends on the setting. Holding doors has to do with regular doors like to bedrooms or bathrooms, so for instance you can't go into the front bedroom on Tangle and hold the door closed with you behind it correct, but if you hold a locker or closet door closed you are safe and that is better than trying to react. I don't remember anywhere in the video me saying the ghost only sees only in front of it, but it is good for people to know the ghosts vision is 360 degrees.
Probably a dumb question but how do you know when a hunt is over? I had the unfortunate event of stepping out of my hiding spot and it was still hunting and it killed me. Also do the lights in the building stay on during a hunt or do they all shut off?
Best ways of knowing if a hunt is over is if the light is on in the room you are hiding, when it turns off then the hunt is over because after a hunt all lights in the house turn off. Apart from also not being able to hear the ghost, if the ghost is far away, you can also try to turn on a light switch, because if you can turn it on and off then the hunt is over as you cannot interact with light switches during hunts. Lights stay in the position they are in when the hunt has started. I have seen where lights may dim for a second but never turn completely off during a hunt!
So Deogens will hunt at 40% sanity which takes awhile to get to. The only time it will hunt earlier than that is a cursed hunt, which you have to trigger by using cursed items. If you wanted to do that I would just be prepared by like hiding behind a kitchen counter or be in the garage to loop a car or loop around a couch/table
Are your lights already on? You flip light switches during hunts, I've noticed sometimes if a ghost goes through an area on like the farmhouses it will dim a bit but then light up again, pretty sure that is a bug
The amount of times I've survived a hunt simply by ducking into a room and closing the door is innumerable. Even if the ghost was only one room away, or the room was directly connected to the ghost room.
you are probably reading a old article, it used to be that way, not anymore. If you have push to talk enabled you can talk as much as you want, as long as you don't activate the push to talk button
Every ghost can close doors during events, and if a door closes that is not the front door you would know it is a event and not a hunt, as the only door affected by a hunt is the front door and that comes with the locking sound. Yurei's have a door slam ability that will drain 25% of your sanity when it does it!
Deo you can't hide so just loop like get them to follow you around a kitchen island or table or couch, for banshees just do the same advice as the video as theres nothing that makes them any special
