Hey 🤗😃 Just bought 3 tickets 🍀🍀🍀 and i pray to God 🙏🏻✝️ that i win , because im a handicap female hou is looking for a way to get out of my expensive apartment and out on the road and in to the nature,to show others like me, that there is otter options than being in the bed for 22-23 hours a day,and just getting out about 6 times a month. If you're going to keep the awning get yourself a £2 rubber mallet to help with pegging, i consider it a must camping.

A nice long coach bolt and a HILTI climbing plate, a cordless drill or regular ratchet. Best tent fixing ever.

So exciting!!! And so inspirational can’t wait to see the travel part now as ur all sorted . some great ideas as iv just sold a camper to embark on the car thing . for short term travel of a few months i reakon it would be so much easier to see stuff without running a big van round and a lot cheaper makes it doable for a lot more people . A brilliant demonstration of people who would live there dream even without the resources of a expensive motorhome . Comfort is a bonus when the desire is a strong as urs . Excellent !!

I bet you will have a blast being able to zip around in the Berlingo and it must feel so much better now you have a bit of space for stuff on the roof and have things organised in the car. I was one that suggested a roof box not thinking about the car park barriers. A roof bag is so much better! Well done. Your van is looking amazing. Can’t wait to see your adventures xx

I have a lightweight tarpaulin (tent material) which I sometimes use at the side of mine which gives a nice extra bit of shelter with 2 poles takes very little space packed up very cheap to buy and gets some heavy duty ground pegs worth every penny as they can be hammered into the toughest ground

I love this, as it proves the more we let go off, and give up the attachment to items, the more we can discover and explore. Every item we own hold space in our minds, it really does hold space and creates us to not to worry more , so when you can be living in a car, with just the basic items, really basic items is when your mind has freedom to explore, expand and create. It's going to be amazing and challenging too, which is what adventure and freedom are all about. no matter what others say thats often their own fears being projected. Having just bought a motorhome and starting my own journey, I kind of can see the huge benefit of fitting under barriers and blending in a tad more in this county at least. Enjoy

I have decades-worth of old letters, photos and diaries...no way I could ever get rid of anything like this. It would feel like getting rid of my own history. These things don't hold me back...they are a positive reminder of my journey through life...from where I started to where I am today. Of who I was and who I have become. It's very grounding to keep an eye on the road already travelled as you continue on your way.

As a solo car camper it's easy for me. It will be interesting to follow your adventures as a couple. I've just had an upgrade, four new tyres. 😆A tip for pegging an awning or tent into the ground. Get the metal curly pigs tails, meant for tethering a dog. They screw in very easily. No hammer required. Happy camping. ilona

@@nicola_k-s If you are in the UK, camping shops, Go Outdoors. Leisure and pet shops. Home Bargains, B & M, Pets at Home, The Range. I've had mine for years, can't remember where I got them from. They are like a big corkscrew, handle on one end, no bashing.

Love the way you are adapting. It'll evolve more as you travel too. Another tip, you know those stand up cardboard box files with the diagonal top, ikea sell them. You might be able to make a window cupboard out of those. I have one slotted down the side of the boot jump & it holds quite a bit. I also have a plastic folding step stool that makes getting in & out easier. Glad you got the fire maple. I have the polaris from them.

I bought a Quechua camping tent for my berlingo as its pretty big and the right height for berlingo. If you put it close to the side door and tie it its great to use as you can actually drive away and leave it too. The door on the tent is the same as door on berlingo. There is a little gap between car and tent but that's ok I just wanted to be able to drive away and leave my tent behind - all the best with your travels !!! xx

Thru experience you need longer stronger pegs. If pegs cannot used, fill large ziplock bag with water or stones. Then put it in your canvas grocery bag with handles. Zip tie into grommet. Not perfect but allows you to use space. For awning and roof bag you might need some seam sealer if you find small leaks. When you leave the car in an area where theft is prevalent put bag in car. I actually bicycle chain it to the door handle to prevent quick grab. I also padlock the two zip ends together. Consider your roof bag the most vulnerable and only put things that can be replaced. 100% agree ~ “stuff” just holds you back like an anchor. I recently moved in to my micro camper full time. Been living in it for two months now. Whilst it was nit by choice I have no regrets. I have a very small storage unit for one or two possessions and I binned or donated everything else and have not missed any of it at all. My micro camper a shade bigger and there’s only one of me. I’d struggle to picture two adults in my camper. So good luck with that. Lol

Just wanted to say, I bought some little storage boxes for my bathroom and they have suckers on that just stick to tiles. These would stick to yr windows to put charger wires in etc. You’ve probably already thought of this but just thought I’d say in case you haven’t. Hope you both have a lovely time on your travels. 🤗

You can get side awnings to. Swivel single & double seat bases from 20 each & post can get door etc storage box pockets 10 to 20 a pair can get set black out curtains to go across front seats & side windows mesh nets to go inside sliding doors. Temu etc watch but id b ok

Even though it's a smaller space I can see how much easier and stress free it will be travelling in Europe in it, having just come back from Italy in my camper which was tricky enough the Luton would have been a pain up mountains etc. Looking forward to watching your travels x

Good luck guys. I 'm car camping on beautiful Vancouver Island, Canada. Did the cargo net but for me, stow away and keeping space as uncluttered as possible is key. However, there is just so much I cannot get rid of, my chihuahua comes to mind haha. Seriously though, you'll see what you need as you go.

I use an induction hob and kettle and pans - solar panel on top to charge your power bank plus from the car 12v socket. No wind problems and only has residual heat from what you are cooking. You can change the output wattage it is great. I like your Belingo it is really tidy and the tints look super cool. I personally think it is a win win, if you don't like car camping you have a car still which is great for days out and travel. Loved the video, look forward to your journeys.

Iv got both toilets like yours and the gel that goes in the portable foldable loo is great for soaking up your bits…The other has the ladies attachment that is great for spending those pennies….good quality Velcro is a life saver…Iv got a lovely awning that’s an extra room. Good luck.

Love it. I've just moved into my van from living in my car for the last 2 years. You're making me want a car camper again, haha. I'll probably move back into a car one day. Those jet boils cookers are great. I used both cookers you have. And I still use them in the van. That was until I got a power unit and I now use an electric twin hob. Good thing is they get to temperature and then turn off to save power. If you get one, make sure it has a thermostat. And it's good if the weather is rubbish for cooking outside. Also. After you're done cooking, it stays hot and warms the van up a bit.

Those micro trailers that fit on the back of motorcycles are handy for cars too because they pack a lot of gear and easy to hitch off and fit in a single car park once angled to fit with car.

I can see this micro camper also getting auctioned too, the transition from Morgan too micro camper is so extreme & in the UK weather not that brilliant IMO. My guess is they have no intention of doing micro camping in the winter as will be doing more Indian or similar traveling.

I've camped in a Peugeot Partner in freezing temperatures. because they are small they are easy to heat up with body heat like a tent. Between the thermal blinds and a big duvet it is remarkably cozy and if it's too cold when you get up in the morning you just turn the engine on and stay under the duvet til the heater blows hot.

I love this video. Have been returning every day to see your next video. Wonder if you guys are adhd too. Other recommendations. Nutri bullet go smoothie maker. Charges by USB. 23 on ebay 29.99 amazon. Also bargain go system toastie maker. As good if not better than ridge monkey on amazon now just over 11 works as an oven. It's great to cook with. Great to see you evolving. This is what microcamping is all about. Go you.

Good luck with the car camping & the berlingo :) I myself use a Subaru Outback for car camping, great in the spring and summer but no fun in the cold wind and rain as I have no space to cook inside so I’m doing a micro camper build with my caddy van for the Winter months. It’s interesting to see both on this journey which is opposite to most.

I am amazed you did not go over to Europe in Morgan. We've been back in the UK since last November, and we are sick of it all. Back to Eastern Europe for sunshine and happy friendly people, and much lower costs. All the very best in your micro camper, however, the level of compromise seems like a mountain to be in it full-time, especially with the UK constant rain. They are designed as weekend vans, as he pitched on Dragons Den. You should have done a 'Duke of Wellington'...A4 paper, line down the centre, absolute honesty required. On one side, Pro's and Cons of Morgan, and on another sheet, pro's and cons of Berlingo, and do over a few days...as it's amazing how it produces clarity...especially with important decisions...All the very best. :)

I honestly think the ease of travelling and parking and the sense of freedom, the ability to drive south when it gets cold and the lightness of ''no stuff' will be amazing once you have a routine for your space if that makes sense. great adventures ahead guys I love this ❤

We have a LWB Sprinter, and all over Europe and especially in the east and Georgia, we have NEVER had a problem parking, non at all. Designed to deliver parcels in towns and cities, it's a perfect home on wheels...

The awning will be a massive relief for when you need to stand up and be sheltered and dry. Headroom is something the car camping just can't offer except with your latest upgrade, I think you will get a lot of value from it.

I have a Vauxhall combo life xl I had a button fitted in the boot lid so we can open the rear hatch from inside the car. Before you do buy some new clips to hold the panel on as loads broke on mine.

Hi Love what you post. I bought an old Fiat Doblo with a high roof. That high roof does make it feel more spacious. It is an old one with 128,000 on clock but I have been working on it over winter and i have only spent 1night in it so far on the car park of a pub that is closed for renovation on the Kirkstone Pass. Took out the rear seats to make more storage and all being well me and my miss's will be taking it out in the next few weeks. But not sure I could live in one as a couple. Takes a special sort of relationship. If you were going to spend any length of time living in a car/van then high roof Doblos are deffo worth a look. Best wishes Frank & Al

I think you're going to have an amazing summer!! Chase the good weather and you'll be fine. Your new home has got the agility to enable you to explore and really get off the beaten track. Campsites may be a good option at some points, I guess, as you'll be saving money on fuel etc It's never really the destination, is it... it's the journey through and through 👍

thanks for the tips for car camping, As I I have done enough of it, the minimalist approach is great, I would say a tiny berlingo van or a caddy, would had been better no faf with car fabric, and more space, and you can tailor your space to what you need, I dream of a tiny van tailored to my needs, excited to see some handy tips for car camping that I have not thought about yet, you have given me some tips on minimalism, ie dual use on clothing etc, my estate car I am ripping out my back seats completely tomorrow, to create some smarter space for my tent and wild camping equipment and backpack! and ditching my mini suitcase set up, and halving my dry food cabinet space, but I am buying a roofbox for rain gear, external wildcamping gear, boots , firewood logs and kindle, and a portable firepit! and for smelly and wet clothes, love the new videos!

Well done. Buy a bicycle alarm and leave it inside the roof bag. It will have a remote control which you can switch on at night or when you leave the vehicle.

Guys, another great video. Just seen the awning peg Janine used. They will bend and fail. Get a few rock pegs and a rubber mallet. Loads on Amazon and not expensive.

I think when you're doing this travelling you should stay in a hotel the odd night to keep you both sane...It will be really hard constantly filling those in between moments with nothing to do in the back of a car
