I think the biggest message of the movie is what is expected of the woman. The whole speech of Gloria (the mom) about the pressure of being a woman in the real world was the most powerful part. And how in the real world "Kens" aka men are viewed as powerful and strong and the leader in the world for so many years. And how in many movies the men are the main character and the big important person and the women are often "side roles". And they reversed that narrative in this movie, where the barbies/ women are the leaders, more powerful ones. Obviously now that image is slowly changing more and more where you see more leading roles for women. And female directors. But yeah I think that is what they were mainly trying to say. Women were crying because of that speech, and the pressure we feel as women.

great artistic movie that was comedic, entertaining, silly, and sparked new ideas and addressed societal issues.. great unique film that did its job, although fell short on some gags, dialogue, and actor choices, but was still very much a great film
