Marrying 4 women isn't very common tho. Only men with enough resources can do that. So most Muslim men only have 1 wife. Only less than 20% have more than 1 wife

The population is generally never 50/50 though. Most places in world, females births usually outnumber male births, except in some places like India. There the male to female ratio is higher. Plus in wars and stuff, it's most often the men that are killed and women are left behind. So throughout history you'll find that women always outnumber men. If we go 1-1 for all marriages, a lot of women will not have any husbands

A Muslim here, what you just said is defeating the point “Treating women like objects” There’re many rules before a man can take multiple wives, it’s not like a man wants to get married and puff that’s it 😅 A man is obligated to give the woman he wants to propose to, her full rights, a good and fair life, to provide, and protect, be be loyal and faithful. If any of these qualities were unavailable, then he cannot get married. Women rights in Islam is an extremely sensitive and important topic that if a man mistreated them is one of the biggest sins. Islam specifically demands us to NOT take advantage in anyway of Women with bad intentions. So, all men in the world knows that they’re capable of having feelings for more than one woman, and instead of committing a sin like dating secretly, we’re allowed to marry more than one Woman with publicity.

@@ultrableu1 Having multiple wives isnt somthing that is encoruged. Rather it was a restriction put into place for muslim men, in a time when men would take multiple woman and give them no rights. The actual preffered method is to marry woman who are, divorced, widdowed or poor as to provide and provision for them. Islamic marrige requires dowry. This is set by the woman and can be at any ammount. Addtionally a woman can divorce at any time. If you define somthing as an object you make the assummption that, the item has no sepcific rights. This is untrue. Marrige gives woman a robust ammount of rights within islam. The only obligation the woman has is to prioratise the family. Apart from that, she doesnt need to clean, cook or even look after you. Howver the man has to provision and protect for her.

Firstly there're always more men then women, especially when there's a war going on, it is the men that will fight them. What if the woman gets pregnant? The 4 men she married have to halt sexual tendencies for 9 months, which leads to another problem, how can a woman sexually statisfy 4 men, when men have much higher sex drive than women. Also in islam the womam takes care of the household and the muslim man has to provide for these 4 women, is the woman also going to take care of 4 houses? How would majority of history also know whose child it is of these 4 men? And how will society function when men and women each have 4 wives, espoecially when for a woman it's much easier to get 4 men even if she's poor, because she has no obligation in financially taking care of these men.

the polygamy thing is really limiting men to 4 wives, not giving men 4 wives. a man who has no job and has no house can hardly marry even 1 wife in saudi arabia for example. men who are super successful, who in the west would be surrounded by multiple GFs, are the ones who would marry more than one in muslim societies, and their limit would be 4, where in the west there is no limit. the man would have to provide each with a house and provide for them and their kids, something you won't need with GFs. also in muslim societies sex outside marriage is a crime.

The body count on average for both men and women in islamic countries is almost nothing compared to western countries. Because marrying another wife gets progressively more difficult. When understanding Islam's stance on polygamy one must think of it as a system. Islam doesn't say that Muslims have to marry 4 times. It says that a Muslim man can marry multiple times if he chooses to. In reality, when you look at this in today's world, the choice can be out of necessity, for e.g., one's wife is sick, cannot bear children, has become mentally ill, etc., and cannot take care of the children in all these cases and then the man has needs as well, one doesn't want to go around and commit adultery (Zina). So this door is being kept open by Islam, why? because it is a practical religion. However, there is no compulsion. And out of the majority if, you do a survey will not say yes to having a second wife, For reasons; marriage is an extremely responsible relationship. It takes everything you have and still requires more energy, commitment, sincerity, love, honesty, etc. Not practical to have more. But given everything if, a Muslim man chooses to take in a second wife, he will be judged with all the stipulations mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah. The thing is people when they think about Islam and polygamy, they only think about a man wanting to marry another woman for sex, that's it. There are conditions attached to it, and you'll be judged by Allah based on these conditions, it is something that needs to be considered carefully when understanding Islam and Polygamy. @@NutSac78 This has to do with biological reasons, a woman can hold a baby for 9 months. She can't have multiple men as the father since historically in every part of the world and even in westerrn societies, the family always keeps the father's name (unless the father left via divorce, but that's rare). If a woman has a baby, no one would know who would be the father out of the 4, but if a man has a baby with either one of his wives, then it would be apparent that who would be the father. There are heavy restrictions on even marrying 4 wives because you have to be beyond financually stable to even handle 4 separate relationships in 4 separate houses. The polygamy thing is really limiting men to 4 wives, not giving men 4 wives.

One of the advantages of poligamy is that she gets to chose a husband from a bigger pool of men. Even if he s married, she can still choose him. She ll have an idea what sort of man he is by the way he s treating his wife. There are not many real men around. Not population wise but marriage material also. Most in prison are men. Most in armies are men and fight in wars. Most work related death are men. Most drug users are men. Most suicides are men, etc. So really factor in everything, marriage worthy men are not that many compared to available women. Ratio will only get worse as time goes. Ofc, men need to follow ALL conditions to even think of getting a second wife.

Hijab does not do a good job of explaining conditions around polygamy set by Islam. The conditions are so tough that it becomes impractical to have multiple wives according to Islam. Basically a man should provide exact same amenities and rights and resources to all his wives. So basically same type of house for all wives separately. Spending same amount of time with each of them. providing same amount of money to all of them. If you cannot do all of it then according to Islam you cannot have more than one wife. But people of course don't abide by religion and take multiple wives anyways claiming that religion allows them to do so. Religion is not the problem, people are the problem. They twist everything to justify their own actions

if a women get shared by more than one it might cause a huge problem regarding identifying children even if they could do it by dna tests as it might be hidden or fabricated etc. and this could cause a lot of insecurities and physiological problems between people, also men in Islam are the one that are catering for their women folk so by that they are only allowed to marry more than one it is a very important rule they should provide if they didn't then polygamy in that case is NOT ALLOWED, since women are not the one how has the responsibility to provide then it is not allowed for them. hope this helps😊

First of all wearing a hijab is an option!!!! Not forced upon us women!!! Unless her husband wants her to wear it she must obey!! However she still has the right to have the option and discuss it with her Husband , to make her own choice!! Secondly he is wrong about marriage, in the Quran it says if the wife says no to second marriage he cannot!!!!

Really? Wearing hijab is an option? lmao! Hijab or head coverings are Mandatory for women according to Islam. And in a state that follows 100% Shariah law, it would be imposed upon women when they go outside! If she's religious or not, that doesn't matter. And you can marry another woman without the first wife's consent according to Islam. If the wife says no to a second marriage then he can't? there is literally no evidence of that in Quaran.
