The fact that the turbos actually takes time to spool and not flutter every single time you let your foot of the accelerator makes Horzion 2 a great experience to just enjoy the sounds.
BEST FORZA HORIZON EVER!!!!! change my mind. The car sounds, the sunny environment, the perfect map, the car meets, road trips etc etc. None off the following horizon ever topped it!✌🏼
I legitimately went back to feel the goosebumps on the intro again. Drive my Ford GT40 on the south coast and just take in the fact that it feels like an actual festival with racing. The only thing that took me off guard was the map. It was more restrictive than I had remembered compared to FH4
It was wayyy more visually diverse because in fh2 you dont have to drive on everything. Fh5 you can just point your car at your destination and get there no problem. And why wouldnt you? The map in that game is awful
me and my friend got bored of FH5, so we've been playing a lot of Horizon 2 lately. He had the game on the 360 when it came out, so he's grinded the whole game, but i'm starting out so I get to enjoy the game from a modern perspective. I definitely like a lot of things about the game more than FH5, the car sounds, characters/voice acting (seems less cringe and childish), the rain graphics and reflections, and a smaller car list (cars feel less generic and copy paste this way, it seems like more thought went into each vehicle).
FH 2 has imo the best backfire and blowoff sounds in the series. 2nd best sound design after FH5. Also just minority of player base pay attention to the other small but immersive details. Look at the driver, how he performs the e-brake and shifting moves. The animation quality also on point in the first 3 horizons. fh1-2-3 were the golden era imo. Fh3 has also real time rearview mirror reflections , all 3 mirrors reflecting even the tire smokes while noother forza titles do it. I always care for these kind of details but unfortunately they all gone and the devs stopped listening us. Went completely the different direction where only childish and casual massive amount of contents, cosmetic, dumb emotes and horns. Instead of these kind of details i mentioned which are so important in terms of passion to the cars and driving experience. So there you have my dream forza horizon game. With the base structure of fh2 + fh1 progression and presentation + modern era features and sound design from fh5. More street races, 1v1 duels, street races, road races, less possible annoying showcase and mixed surface, dirt races.
@@franciscojavierparga2799 I bought FH5 cuz I thought it's going to be great. Well.. it is but the engine sounds compared to FH2 are baby sounds lol (FH5 was my first Forza game ever that i bought) Istg the sounds of the engines.. they sound bad it makes me bored
this is when forza horizon had good engine sounds. Unfortunately in FH5 they have "created" the sounds from generic engines, exhaust, intake.... they are not recorded from the real cars (only a couple of sounds are actually recorded, in order to make all the others). Just look in your game/ audio/ car sounds/ files, and you will see by yourself, if you have the pc version, of course, on xbox you can't see in the game files, but they are the same
FH2 is a an amazing game and has amazing sounds and I also play it from time to time. I've compared each car on FH5 and I'd say they sound more clear and better on FH5. My only small gripe with FH5 is that the sound and rpm don't match on some cars. FH2 on the other hand sounds muffled and compressed but they sound great even though its not as clear and detailed when comparing to FH5. In terms of accurate of the sound to the real car. Some cars are more accurate in FH5 some are in FH2. It depends really because there is alot of factors like the recording equipment, the processing, etc. Honestly I'm happy of the sounds in FH5 since about 90% of the car list sound pretty close to the real car in my opinion specially if changing the exhaust to match the real car. For the map well both are great in their own ways. FH2 has amazing scenery and while FH5 has amazing variety in biomes. Both are amazing
Best backfires out of all Horizon titles. I'd rather prefer the dyno sound recordings as they are much more louder and clearer than the ones in the current Forza Horizon. And the fact that not every single damn car has straight cut gears at stock certainly makes Horizon 2 sounds a better experience.
I've gotta buy FH2 sometime whenever I get the chance! I used to play the 360 version when that's all I had but I have played the Xbox One version as well. It is so much better, and after owning FH1, I can say FH2 on 360 is basically just FH1.5
I just cant stand 30fps these days anymore. So whenever I decide to come back, it doesn't last last long lol. A fps boost (XSX) for such a big game, which is even indirectly made by Microsoft, is actually a must
If I still could I would buy this game and all the dlc right now on pc I have it through gold on my Xbox but it doesn't have any of the dlc and Its a pain to hook it up with my setup the way it is
I love FH2 , I found myself going back to play this game yesterday and today. Only thing that sucks is you can't join online free roam seems they disconnected the servers :/ but It was amazing. The map Is by far the best in the series. FH3 is right there with it but still didn't have nearly the spots to chill and drift. FH4 was eh okay and FH5 for me is boring. Only thing keeping FH5 alive for me is the custom Eventlab tracks that the community and myself make.

I play this game weekly on Xbox One. I've never tried online since I don't have Xbox Live Gold, but the servers sometimes work for downloading paints/tunes or doing rivals races but often it says it can't connect so I don't know if it's an issue with my wifi or if they just turn them off sometimes.
If Playground Games doesn't want to put in the work to make all the cars sounds the way they are irl for FH5, then the car list shouldn't be so damn big! That simple! Get rid of like half the cars in fh5 and no one would even care.
Horizon 5's map is actually the one thing I liked about it when I played it, Horizon 2 has plenty of nice scenery but 5 has way more variety of biomes like the sand dunes, the mountaintop, the rainforest, that weird area with all the rocks I always crash into, etc.
Are so overrated FH2 sounds. Impress me how many people say this game have best sounds than FH5 when a little bit cars in FH5 have bad sounds. FH4 was the worst, FH3 so nice sounds, and FH2 have too many robotics sounds. FH5 is so smooth the only shitthy thing in FH5 what i hate so much is the Turbo Spool doesnt exist. The volumen of spools are so low
Speak for yourself, you're the only person I've ever seen who thinks FH2 sounds are shit, and FH5 sounds are mediocre at best, most of them are just generic and copy/pasted, there's very little engine sounds in FH5 that are unique to one car/engine
Forza 5 sounds are robotic, and synthetic, because they are not even recorded! but digitally made, they shown they recorded the sounds, but only couple were actually recorded, to use to create all the others... in fact if you look in the game/audio/car sounds files you would see they are made and not recorded, thats why they all have the same sound imprinting....yes better than Fh4 of course, but real cars have other sounds. Fh2 sounds are not perfect, but at least they recorded from real cars
