Alice is so pretty, has a beautiful smile and seems like a very genuine person. I wish her a great experience with school and meeting lots of people and her English language skills to get much better.
My school does a study abroad in Italy. They told me the food is way better and fresher quality there. There are certain ingredients ban in EU too that US has not ban.
Welcome to the USA Alice. I am happy that you want to have many wonderful experiences. Your English will get better as the months go by. Being with a big family who love to do many things is a good way to fit to have such fun experiences.
Your a lovely family you make the students feel at home and are so generous and kind , Davey you look as though your losing weight it must be all the work you're doing out side the house 🏡 can you and April get some help it seems a lot of work 🤔but it's looking good 👍 love to you all ❤🇬🇧
Alice has such a bubbly personality, delightful accent, and expresses herself very well. A big bonus is that she is extremely pretty and seems to have an even temperament. Enjoyed this Q & A a lot, so thanks for doing it, Davey.
Alice I think you are going to love all the dances that the Schools here have! I hope you have as much fun as you can while you are here in America!! You are one beautiful young lady, and you seem so sweet spirited....
Wouldn't it be amazing if you could get all the exchange students you've had together for some fun at Lake Powell? Maybe spend a week out there or even just a few days there and the other days at yur house enjoying the backyard! Over cooked pasta taste like it's been scorched! I think thats the word she was looking for!🤣🤣🤣 I love Alice! She is a beautiful young lady for sure!! Thanks for sharing Alice!! ❣❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❣
Pizza with mayo can be really good. In NY we have a couple of them. So good. Try it first before you snub it! 😂🥰🍕🗽 You all are blessed to have each other. 🇮🇹 ❤ 🇺🇸
I've been sad to see your videos used in the Law and Crime blogs about RF. I'm wondering if you're allowed to ask for them to blur the faces of your children so they're not dragged into the mess of JH and RF.
My grandma is Italian and she doesn't like olive garden she would say thats not real Italian food only the mom and pop Italian places she would go to or she would make Italian food.
I'm glad that you do the foreign exchange program and you really care about the students, where they become part of your family. When I was in high school there were two girls that did the exchange program. One was from Brazil and the other was from Germany, we became friends and we are still friends to this day but they had a good time. Unfortunately, I have family members that are only doing the exchange program to get extra money and they don't care about the kids but thankfully they are not longer able to do it because something happened in the home were they got removed and banned from the program. The kids got removed and they were able to finish out the school year Unfortunately. I've also had
@@AprilandDaveyVlogs Oh my goodness you replied to my comment. Thank you that really made my day. I had a rough day at work and this made me smile. :) I have been watching your videos for a long time, actually i remember Roberta coming for exchange year and I know you guys do it for the right reason. Your a great example of what a host family should be like. I agree, I also hate when people host or foster for the wrong reason. I actually was the one who got my family reported to the agency because I was really concerned for the safety of the kids in the home and the situation needed to be stopped immediately and yes that particular family member's are mad but oh well...
I know they do videos where the exchange students can only speak their native language for a day. But, when they have Q&A with the student, they usually have the student introduce themselves in their native language.
Alice seems so sweet and fun, but as someone who has moved to the us as a younger teen from italy huge generalizations (made by both sides ) are my pet peeve . For example my parents and grandparents being form the north never even ate pizza that often until they were adults . Europeans , even when they love the the us, get kind of a superiority complex - i know it’s a normal reflex of being an exchange student in a new place but Italy definitely has frozen pizzas everywhere , every supermarket, even the fancier bio ones, a lot of old school restaurants too Alice is too young to remember. A lot of school cafeterias too…you could literally walk in one of the billion cafes and see a fridge behind with frozen pizza. Not everything is handmade, higher , etc it’s less common to eat it now that people have access to perfect ingredients and the real thing, but it’s a giant isle in any supermarket even in Naples…. actually some homesteads in the us or some areas of the us eat more organic than most Italians (as a general historic thing the Mediterranean diet is better but there are examples of that everywhere , and it comes down to a lot more than geography) I think you can be shocked at the quantity of stuff in a us supermarket but I refuse to believe a 17 yo has never walked at the corner store in her street in Rome or anywhere and saw frozen pizza…. My friends in middle school who ar e proud of many Italian things ate frozen pizza all the time at sleepovers . Obviously consuming the but if you live in nyc, berkeley, Austin, and I’m sure many places in utah too nowadays you are likely to find a lot of authentic stuff, since a much bigger food revolution but you can find tons of parents in itsly too buying frozen pizza for a kids bday party (or Google buitoni the most famous brand ) It’s a stupid thing to comment on and it’s obvious what she means…love your videos and how welcome and excited students are but I think there’s no harm in representing life in a more real way that has nothing to do with nationalism or traditions
