It isn't really the best option for a girl or woman to display her beauty on a magazine when she knows she's God's daughter. God's daughter is modest. She does not brag about her looks. She refers to the Lord Jesus Christ. She knows she may one day decide she wants to be married and not be celibate, in which case, she wouldn't want to tarnish the good name of her future husband by being the center of attention for lustful men. She is intelligent and pure and spends her time in good works and stays away from hungry lustful eyes that would never marry her anyway. We can’t simply dismiss genetics just like we can’t say all Black hair can grow long if we just take good care of it. It’s not just hair care, it’s not just genetics. It’s both combined with our physical health and nutritional intake, texture of the hair, density, kink, curl and coil of the strands, moisture of the hair, thickness of the strands, health of the hair over all, products and hair care techniques. Pretty sure I missed other details. We need to stop using one example of exemplary hair and say that we can all have hair like that of we just believe. 🤦🏽‍♀️

I disagree. Though genetics does play a part, it's mainly hair care. It doesn't matter how fast your hair grows. If you're not taking proper care of it, it's going to appear to not be growing. I'm biracial, and my hair grows fast!! But when I moved from a humid state to an arrid one, my hair SEEMED to stop growing. When I amped up my moisturizing routine, it flourished and grew long again.

@akherashepsutera2013 3 дня назад
@Ms.Nikkiandherfamily Interesting... considering some biracial ppl have 3d/4d hair... which is what I'm guessing you're referring to as Black hair. Not sure if you're aware, but Black people's hair can range across the whole board of 1a-4c hair. ALL hair requires APPROPRIATE and effective hair care. All hair grows at different rates depending on diet, hydration, curl type, any existing medical issues, etc., but depending on how visible that growth is depends on the hair care.

I agree, I liken it to teeth. We know folks who have never flossed but have no cavities and others who obsess and still need root canals. Sure maintiance will help but some folks are born at third base/or already hit a home run when you just got up to bat.
@akherashepsutera2013
@akherashepsutera2013 3 дня назад
@Sunshine4 Susceptibility to dental disease and decay can be influenced by genetics, BUT with PROPER care, even those who are predisposed to the nastiest mouths can have a full set of healthy teeth. Dental health is supported by the right diet (and I dont mean sweets; studies have shown the introduction of foreign foods--those not native to your culture) and proper dental care just like hair growth is supported by proper care. I have 2 sisters with the SAME hair type--4a. One's hair grows really well because she takes great care of it, while the other's hair has never been past her shoulders because she doesn't take good care of it. So it's not mainly genetics. It's a combination of the two, but mostly PROPER hair care.

Black women, your hair does grow like everyone else's. Is it's just that your systems are just more sensitive than everyone else's,but you just don't realize it. You're allergic to the chemicals that are in products that are geared toward you. If you stay away from chemicals, stay away from perms. Stay away from excessive heat.Your hair will be healthy and long. Wash your hair, spritz with water then a bit of organic oil, and your hair will be perfectly fine. You shouldn't put fake hair on little girls because the fake hair has crazy chemicals on it especially if you don't wash the hair first before you put it on the child. I wear that for a couple of days. Then, I braid my hair 8 to ten rounds, then twist the ends. I wear that until my scalp itches and start all over. I also clip off any frizzy ends. This is my second week doing this. I stopped putting on the crochet hair because my high school students keep calling me bald headed B…. Miss marilyflanagan1922 if I got it correctly, One day I went to talk to my son teacher, his name/last name was Mr. Kitchen, though even i forgot to call him by Mr. Kitchen I ended up calling him Mr. Chicken just like my son supposed call him to bother him depending on what he explained to me. So after I call that name. The one he was tired of both of us ended up laughing about it. Because he was able to tell that I didn't like my son behavior sometimes. So I went and explain to my son what happened. And since we ended up in good terms with Mr. Kitchen, my son ended up not bothering him anymore, even after my mistake, of calling him Mr. Chicken. So sometimes it's depends on how you take their mishaps, or if you send to talk to their family to fix the situation. Some people you can't even try talking to them, because they are worse than their children. So I'll encouraged you to have a beautiful life, and have some vacation every now and then Just a suggestion . Don't just sit in one spot. Because working people get sick when being stagnant afterwards. May the God of my father's bless you and sustain you with His powerful right hand. God bless you very much. We often underestimate the role of genes in hair growth, However, it's actually our hair cycle that plays a significant role. This is why some people's hair grows super fast after a cut, while others' hair growth slows down at a certain length. Additionally, genes influence other aspects like thickness, strength (texture), and density, which provide more resilience.

I agree. I knew a tomboy in high school who did gad about hair care or anything, but her hair was like the girl in the video. Also, I often see women who are overweight and have an unhealthy log with long hair. It’s definitely genetic and I think we have to be for real.
@rubiepatrick973
@rubiepatrick973 8 дней назад
@@CarmenSD She isn't saying it's NOT about genetics. She's saying it's not ALL about genetics. In other words, as long as you don't have actual Alopecia, you can grow long and healthy hair. You don't have to be stuck with "stunted hair".
@rubiepatrick973
@rubiepatrick973 8 дней назад
I mean, think about it for a minute: Hair ALWAYS grows from the scalp. It only ever breaks off at the tips. Minimize this "breakage" = retaining most of the ALREADY GROWING hair. That's why Alopecia is the exception because then the hair simply doesn't grow from the scalp. Period

Genetics, as you stated, do play a part in it, and again, hair care is important too. I will also say that for black people, it takes work to figure out what your hair and scalp need to promote that hair growth, and it takes time to figure it out.
@carolamoore72
@carolamoore72 9 дней назад
First it's genetics, because when you see a black person with curly hair, or wavy hair, there has been some type of race mixing in your family. All three of my children have curly or wavy hair. They get it from my husband side, because his mom is biracial, and from my grandad, who is biracial. I know a lot of black people may not want to admit it, but the black race hair grows slower than any other race out there, so hair care is definitely a must to keep the hair healthy.

The only reason black hair wouldn’t appear to grow is if it’s severely damaged. as a hairstylist, I have dealt with a lot of hair on all different types of bodies with all different colors of skin, and one of the things that I noticed the most is that a lot of black women have incredibly brittle hair from damage that will snap and break it’s not that their hair isn’t growing. It’s that it’s constantly breaking off.

first and foremost, genetics play the most important part in hair growth. secondly, your haircare routine and haircare products play a vital role in one's hair growth journey. routine and consistency will produce great strides, resulting in phenomenal hair growth. one last thing, find out your hair's porosity level (low, high, or normal). knowing your hair's porosity level will help you purchase and use products that's better for your hair. I hope this helps ❤.
