It is Turkish Delight, right? I am Romanian but I adore this sweet dessert and I always make it at home. It can be consumed as it is or put into croissants and sweet cakes. Delicious!
In China we have something similar called "Gao Liang Yi"! Besides what you have here, it also contains a bit of sorghum flour, but the end product is also juicy chewy candy
You can leave it for an hour and refrigerate for 1 hour before cutting but if you want to eat it quick then you can put it in fridge as soon as it cool down to room temperature
